"We are forever Greatful to Ole Miss for taking him"

"We were ranked 94th in the nation in tackling."

"The last time we allowed 54 points was 1907 and we broke that record this year"

"When the news came down, I cancelled my guests because it was like a massive celebration. All our calls into the show was like a celebration"

"We had to call time outs to substitute"

"Saban worked hard to find Golding a job. Saban doesn't fire coaches. He places them."

"The only coach Saban has ever fired and not help find a new place is Lane Kiffin before the National Championship game. He was asked to leave."

"I expect that Bill O'Brien will be gone too"

Major Applewhite was essentially fired. It’s a myth that Saban ‘places’ every assistant rather than firing them.

Does he think he has some scoop on BoB?

His contract ends 2/28 and hasn’t been renewed. His departure has been a done deal for a while now.

He wasn't actually fired. I remember horn fans talking their shite about our OC leaving to be just their position coach back in early 2008.

We will never know how much Saban pressed him to find another opportunity but I can't imagine his after-season evaluation went well.

Golding was a bad fit. He's never really gotten the job done at the position level or coordinator level. But he is young enough that I wouldn't be surprised if he comes around and becomes a quality coordinator.

I remember Brent Venables essentially get pushed out of Norman then he became one of the hottest coordinators in the sport a decade later [after learning the efficacy and importance of signal stealing operations in gametime playcalling ].

Are you done pretending to be a Bama fan with State “friends and relatives?”

Because I happened to see the same thread on a state board just this morning.

Let's use your 'logic'. So you are a fan of MS ST because you went to their board.

Kiffin already had a job at that point. Guy sounds like a butt hurt pussy. Saban is 70 years old and he is on the decline. Cope and Seethe.

Why is it when Bama’s defense is good it’s Saban’s hand in them, but when the defense sucks it’s always the assistant’s fault? Does Saban only coach defense certain years?

Actually, he had 2. One was prepping BAMA'S offense and he wasn't doing that. So Saban relieved him of his duties.

Yet still smart enough to rib us of a guy that moved our defense backwards.

Yet still good enough to beat Ole Miss.

Cope and Seethe.

Yes, do cope and seethe to the fact that you have a manchild at HC and now a DC who trained 5 star recruits to a 94th ranking in tackling!

Saban hasn't been hands on in close to a decade. He had long time assist coaches he trusted .

Then Tennessee whiffed on their first 10 targets in their coaching search and Hired Pruitt unexpectedly. Saban was caught with his pants down.

Kirbys recruiting also spooked him. He wanted badly to retain Tosh Lupoi who was an elite recruiter, but was looking to advance as a coordinator.

He promoted him to replace Pruitt and replaced him halfway through the season with Golding hoping he would grow into the job, but he didn't.

Alabama hasn't had an elite Linebacker play since Ruben Foster/Rashaan Evans.

Lame duck coordinators and average to mediocre Linebackers have held back the defense.

It will be much of the same until those two areas are addressed.

It's obvious he doesn't coach defense OR offense in some games.

This is false. He is far more hands on than the majority of the HCs out there.
