“State has 2 more CWS appearances and regional than the Vols the last 3 decades. They have fewer regular season SEC titles and the same number of tournament SEC titles.
Why you gotta act like this slick?”
Not acting slick. We can all cherry pick stats.
The fact remains that before Coach Ron Polk, the SEC treated baseball like a red headed step child. Routinely the head baseball coach would get a promotion and a raise to become an assistant football coach.
When Coach Polk started at State in 1976, he set about pushing the conference into making baseball a priority. He fought the NCAA for decades over the unfairness of how college baseball was treated nationally.
State was the first to build a true baseball stadium in the SEC and of course the left field lounge is a national treasure.
What you see today in the SEC is the result of what Coach Polk started and built over a 30 year period. In the mid 80’s Skip Bertman and LSU joined in and started putting emphasis on baseball. And then slowly other programs started realizing that baseball could be a gold mine.
Today each SEC team, except Missouri, has a first class stadium and attendance is good at thirteen of the fourteen schools.
For most of the last 50 years, Tennessee has not cared about baseball. I am glad over the last five years your fan base has started to support the sport. Please keep it up. And as you do, I hope your coach, players and fans will mature as well.

Cant believe Vanderbilt is +160 on ML with Tenn starting like 5 bench players. See some value there

I was just razzing you guys but based on the dv's some folks took it WAY too seriously.
It really was more of a dig at 10RC....

This ump has a wild zone
Consistently inconsistent, for both sides.

Seems the one constant in this tournament. No consistency whatsoever from home plate umps.

It’s obviously moot now but why did Kingston challenge that HBP?
I get you can’t take ‘em with you but it wasn’t even close lol

“No one is reading that.”
Oops my apologies, I forgot that Tennessee fans are at a Kindergarten reading level.

That was a weak "he went around call." Notice ESPN didn't give us a replay on it...
