Amazing that the catcher saved a run or two by laying out to make stops. And then turns around and does that. Baseball is such a fickle sport.

Didn't look like he really did anything from the side view.
The glove closed from the front view but it usually does on most pitches, even when the catcher doesn't catch the ball.
