It’s really not that hard to figure out.

Lsu went into last season with essentially no returning production at QB, WR or RB. The QB (who had never started a college game) only had a few weeks to learn the offense prior to game 1. There was no homerun threat at rb. They lost their best Olineman before the season and then dealt with multiple injuries on the line and played several young players. This year they return the entire WR corps, the entire Oline, Burrow is experienced, Brady is bringing some modern passing concepts, and they brought in the #1 hs back in the country who’s killing it in camp and is a legit homerun threat.

On D they lost their best pass rusher in the first game and lacked a true NT. This year they have 2 legit NTs and the Chaisson is healthy.

On ST they lacked explosive return men. This year teams will soon be kicking away from them. The new kicker is reportedly accurate and has a big leg, but we’ll see how he handles the bright lights.

LSU returns a lot and closes some major holes from last season. A&M, Auburn and Florida come to BR, where none of those teams fare well.

There better not be a hurricane on the horizon that fricks up our schedule or future schedules again.

Also if there is hopefully everyone stays safe... but seriously Mother nature needs a dildo and I know FL is shaped like a phallus but can't she just continue jerking getting off in California? I hear San Diego has a nice area just for it.

I’m not missing the point of anything. LSU was the better team last year. LSU will be the better team this year. Therefore it makes sense that they are above A&M.

Solid post. See this is how you base predictions (which is the actual point of the thread). Im not really sure why that guy keeps referring to rankings from a year ago.

Aggy lost most of their front 7 on defense and their best rb. Yet they act like attrition doesn't really affect them, just other teams.

They still haven't learned.

This thread is strictly about West standings. Unless the SEC changed tiebreaker rules, LSU finished 3rd. Same conference record as A&M, but lost the head to head. Do you also refer to Ole Miss as 2003 co-champions? Didn't think so.

Do you have a link to these SEC tiebraker rules? Seriously, I've never heard of such and how they apply considering the order of finish after first place has no relevance.

That is very much correct. However, Aggies have heard for years how A&M finished behind LSU in the standings in 2012 despite finishing higher ranked because of head to head. I mean, it's it also common sense to say that head to head is the ultimate tiebreaker?

I get that, was just pointing out that they finished tied for 2nd in the standings and that there are no tiebraker rules other than for 1st place.

One big difference I have noticed, LSU is actually hoping to win the west, while everyone else is hoping to finish 2nd.
