2019 LSU Tigers best college football team ever, prove me wrong!

At first when that title was being thrown around I kind of laughed it off because of our defense, but the more I thought about it the more I agree with the statement that the 2019 LSU team is the greatest college football team in history.
I will get to the defense in a minute. First let talk offense, the awards on offense are best QB, receiver and Oline and throw a Heisman in for dessert! The record offensive stats LSU had in 2019 are too numerous to list but the record books on offense is now littered with LSU all over it.
Here is the reality there isn’t a defense in the present that could stop LSU all season and we play in a conference that is known for its defenses. And more importantly there isn’t a defense in the past that could stop LSU.
My point being is LSU’s offense proved in can score copious points on any defense on the field, so if you can’t stop us then you have to out score us, now we get to defense.
Defense wins championships, LSU proved that to be false! Or did they?
LSU’s defense prior to Arkansas gave up a lot of points but there wasn’t really a stretch, until Arkansas that is, where all our defensive starters were healthy an on the field. Until we got to A&M, look at what LSU’s defense did to our last 4 opponents, two of which were Clemson and OU two offensive juggernauts.
Our defense in our last 4 games would have put us in the top 15 in defense and that is playing OU and Clemson who both averaged over 45pts per game.
We were a complete offensive and defensive juggernaut when we played on Monday and there isn’t a team current our past that could beat LSU!

Where to start......That LSU team lost to Bama, Notre Dame, and MSU. Not sure how they can be the best ever with 3 loses.
Second if you were referring to the 2019 LSU team, while they were good and worthy of praise, they come NO WHERE NEAR the 2001 Miami team.
third, you need to talk about the era and criteria to be the best ever. Your point about defense is accurate but that would put this LSU team way behind as Tennessee had teams that went the entire year without allowing a single point.

Problem is...you can't prove they're the best of all time. Most sports pundits would wager that the 1971 & 1995 Nebraska and 1972 USC Trojans would easily dispatch of this 2019 LSU squad. Easily.
However, it's just opinion and you're entitled to your's. But, you're very much in the minority in believing LSU's the best of all time. Uh-uh.

Best ever team is an impossible debate. Best RESUME ever ? Absolutely, and it’s not even close. They basically laid waste to everybody and won everything there was to win. It was pretty incredible to witness. I think they likely changed the college game in ways that aren’t yet apparent. I think some bright football minds were paying close attention.

Forget my opinion, or yours. Best team of all time is not something to debate. Best Resume of all time, I think LSU has a case. Many Journalist, not tied to LSU, have said as much. I recommend Mike Greenberg's "I rest my case" video, Cole Cubelic's posts, ESPN with Lungenbill and Acho on College football live.

Without a doubt a great team and a team that deserves the recognition they get and deserve to be in the conversation of best team ever, but it doesn’t matter they couldn’t stop LSU just like everyone else couldn’t figure out how to stop LSU.
And if you can’t stop us, you can’t beat us!

The resume' part is correct. No debating that. But, numbers are only part of a story and just one measurement of comparison. Most of the time, LSU was winning a drag race this year, outlasting their opponents. But, the '71 & '95 Nebraska and '72 USC Trojans teams not only won their drag races, they flat out stopped their opponents on the strip.
