The defense was head and shoulders better, and they knew it. The confidence that unit played with was impressive.
2015 offense is much better than 2011, but that wouldn't be enough. I don't think 2011 D would be able contain Fournette, but they would make up for it with a couple of forced turnovers and big plays on special teams.

Special teams would give 2011 the edge. 2011 defense was better but 2015 offense is better. ST is what really separates them.

2011 lsu should be a pretty big favorite. Our
Dline consisted of Brocker,Benny Logan, Mingo,Ego Ferguson,Montgomery,
Our secondary has 5 players get drafted. Tm7, Claiborne,Reid,Brandon Taylor,and Ron Brooks.

I have no idea what the line would be, but the 2011 LSU team would dominate the 2015 team.
They'd win by two touchdowns, at least.
Much better defense, MUCH better secondary. Much better defensive tackles (big in stopping Fournette). Still a very capable offense. Jefferson/Lee wasn't nearly as bad as people remember them. Honey Badger is the X-factor. Special teams better across the board, which is a big factor for Les Miles' teams.
In 2011, we had that feel. We were going to win every game we played by a large margin (besides Alabama). I haven't felt that once this season.

My god could you imagine combining those two defenses for something like a all star team representing the conference. Not only talent but there would be enough players to have a five deep depth chart. It wouldn't be fair for anyone to have to face that defense.

If tyran wasn't on...we weren't THAT team. The offense this year and the dline are improving at a staggering rate. If the secondary can get anywhere near 2011...look out. Just my opinion. I remember 2011 plenty

What? At no point will our 2015 defense come close to 2011 defense.
2011 LSU had far better defense and far better special teams. Our special teams in 2011 was a weapon.
