It is a good thing to ponder.
Lsu did also minimize West Virginia that year.
Something to consider.

Until the shite show of 1/9/12. Probably was the worst showing of an offense from a team that loaded I've ever seen.

Unfortunately, LSU fans saw this many many times before with Jefferson starting at QB. McNeese and Vanderbilt shut LSU's offense down for the majority of the game until Les pulled Jefferson for Lee.

Heck in the SEC championship in 2011 UGA shut down LSU's offense for 80% of the game. LSU's first 1st down that game was half way in the 3rd quarter. Think about that for a second.

To bad LSU had a 7-0 senior QB sitting on the bench the entire MNC. We definitely did not need him to play in the championship. Thanks Les!!!

I have never seen a better case of little brother syndrom. Literally all you post about is LSU and occasionally UT.

I'm not diminishing how great 2011 LSU and Bama were but look at the offenses they played that year.

2015 Clemson - 38.5 PPG

2011 Oregon - 46.1 PPG
2011 WVU - 37.6 PPG
2011 Arkansas - 36.8 PPG

All three of those teams were mollywopped by LSU. People acting like Clemson was some offensive juggernaut never before seen need to get a grip on reality.

At least half the time, right?

I honestly believe 2009 Texas with a healthy McCoy was a better team than this year's Clemson team. That Texas team had a bunch of future pros and was nasty defensively especially against the pass.

I know LSU beat Oregon but that Oregon team was lacking something that year. It'd be very very interesting to see how those defenses would fare against a hurry up tempo offense like Deshaun Watson commands.

The hurry up tempo offense Watson commands doesn't have shite on the hurry up offense chip Kelley commanded on that team...when we are talking tempo. That LSU team was the best conditioned in Miles' tenure. They worked overtime preparing for that opening game. I've said ever since then that I wish we played Oregon first game every year. That team never got tired.

Plus they played Alabama a lot closer than LSU did in '11.

Huh? LSU beat Alabama in the one game they played in 2011.

The 2011 defense was built to stop the spread! They had 6 dbs who played significant time that year who played in the NFL, Mo Claiborne, Tyrann Mathieu, Branden Taylor, Eric Reid, Tharold Simon and Ron Brooks. All but Taylor are still playing in the NFL!

LSU easily

Put Watson on the 2011 LSU team and it might be the GOAT.

Yes Alabama won the more important game, but if the playoff existed then, fat bama would not of been in that game!!!

Same could be said for 2011 Bama with Watson.

The fact of the matter is, if this Clemson team played LSU on 1/9/12, Clemson wipes its arse on them.

lol

LSU looked like arse on 1/9 because of their opponent. All the credit to Alabama.

2011 LSU was a good bit better than 2015 Clemson.

Clemson beat Louisville by 3, Syracuse by 10, South Carolina by 5. They were undefeated, but they didn't exactly light the world on fire.

The SEC in 2011 was a lot better than the ACC in 2015, and LSU wiped the floor with everyone but Alabama.

Anyone saying 2015 Clemson is better is either stupid, or (in your case) trolling.

I'm saying on 1/9/12, if this Clemson team played LSU, with that abortion of an offense that took the field (half of it), it's not even close. FACT!!!

The reason LSU's offense was an abortion is because it went up against the best college defense of the last 20 years and our power offense played right into Alabama's hands.

LSU didn't score a touchdown against Alabama in either of their two games that season. Besides that, though, LSU led the SEC in scoring. So it's not like the offense was garbage.

If LSU played Clemson, we wouldn't have looked like we did against Alabama that night. Pretty easy concept to grasp.
