Ok bitch so Pearson has more than 7 rbis in SEC play no he does not. Pearson has more than 1 hit with runners in scoring position in SEC play no he does not. Those little man are facts and just because you don't like facts doesn't change that....boy!
Pearson is a career. 230 hitter in 4 years of SEC play that is the definition of a poor hitter or are you going to argue that a .230
career SEC average is a good hitter. Pearson has 1 hit with runners in scoring position the entire SEC season that is the exact opposite of clutch! A big part of being a 3rd -5th place hitter is driving in runs. Pearson has batted almost exclusively in the 3rd -5th hole and driven in only 7 runs in SEC play again not good!
Pearson is a career .230 hitter in SEC play and this season despite having hit almost exclusively in the 3 thru 5 spots in the lineup has only been able to generate 7 rbis all SEC season and has only had 1 hit with runners in scoring position in SEC play. Pearson started 21 SEC games and Brown started 16 and was responsible for 23 rbis and 5 in one SEC game which is almost as many as Pearson has generated in the entire SEC season. Obviously facts are difficult for you to comprehend so I will break it down for you. Batting .230 for 4 years in SEC play and having only 7 rbis in an entire SEC season despite batting 3rd-5th in the majority of SEC games are not characteristics of a good hitter. Hope that wasn't too in depth for you to understand...now why don't you STFU!
Your living in the past Josh got hot for a week in 2023 and hasn't done anything of note since. He is a career .230 SEC hitter with exactly 1 hit with runners in scoring position the entire SEC schedule this year! If you are right and a career .230 SEC hitter who had all of 1 hit with runners in scoring position the entire SEC season is the most clutch player on this team then the Tigers are in alot of trouble. I will take Milam at the plate in a clutch situation over Josh any day and Brown twice on Sunday!!
First of all son I'm not a kid. Secondly any knowledgeable person would take an improving sophomore over a senior who has been a .230 career SEC hitter any day. Brown may become a better hitter of LH pitching over his career if given more opportunities. He has already proven to be substantially more productive hitter given 23 rbis in 15 starts vs 7 rbis in 21 starts by Pearson. Again Pearson produced 7 rbis in the entire SEC season Brown produced 5 in one SEC game!
Ummm 3-5 hole hitters are supposed to drive in runs as well how do you explain Jake driving in 23 if the other players weren't getting on base? Do they purposely not get on base only when Josh is playing or is Josh a career .230 hitter just not hit when runners on base or not hit much at all in SEC play period?
Why did Jake take your gf? I am just pointing out facts!. In an entire SEC season in which Josh almost always batted in the 3rd-5th holes and yet was only able to manage 1 hit with runners in scoring position and 7 rbis. Jake while starting less games hit for a much higher SEC average and drove in 23 runs. Are u seriously going to argue that a guy driving in 7 runs in an entire SEC schedule with more starts should be playing ahead of of someone who drives in 23 runs? You do understand 23 is more than 3x more than 7? Heck Brown had almost as many rbis in one game as Josh had the entire SEC schedule!!
Criminal is to continually start Pearson all season and hit in the 3rd thru 5th spots the entire SEC season and have him be able to produce only 1 hit with runners in scoring position (a bunt single) for the entire SEC season. what a waste!
Pearson doesn't hit LHs better with runners in scoring position. He had 1 hit in the entire SEC season with runners in scoring position and that was a bunt single against a RH. Brown had at least a couple of hits against LHs with runners in scoring position and 2 is more than zero!
Speaking of facts Pearson has 7 RBIs in SEC play despite batting in the 3 thru 5 holes almost exclusively and has exactly 1 hit with runners in scoring position in SEC play and has started 21 games Brown has 23 rbis in 15 games started. So you going to really argue Pearson should be starting over Brown. Per Ben Mcdonald when Curiel Stanfield and Brown are in the outfield that's like having 3 centerfielders!!

Pearson needs to be a late inning pinch hitter only!!

Notbilly is dead on Pearson should be a late inning pinch hitter only. He only has 1 hit with runners in scoring position the entire SEC season so far and that was a bunt. If you are going to sit the best rightfielder on the team put Larson or Beck in and see what they can do against a LHer!

Lester...series question not counting seniors who do you think is most likely drafted and who most likely transfers?
I have seen Trav and Neal catch this year. Tuesday night was just one of many bad games behind the plate in 2024 for Neal. Trav is by far the superior catcher now.
Neal is a better catcher than Trav are u serious?Did you even watch the Northwestern game he is a human sieve. How is hitting .132 in SEC play a sign of better at bats. He has always hit midweek pitching.

You really think if Jay has 3 consecutive losing SEC seasons in a row he will be the coach in 27.....ok
Larson is a freshman Kling is a sophomore do u you not think Kling practiced at all last year or scrimmages against LSU pitchers who are SEC pitchers. Do u not think a player that has had 2 years in the program has not gotten more experience than a player in his first year?
You and your small mind can laugh all you want but it's a fact LSU beat the #1 team in the country 2 out of 3 with Klinger out of the starting lineup and the only game they lost was with Neal catching.
Kling has always hit midweek pitching that is why his OBP is .400 for season and. 291 in SEC. He can handle midweek pitching he cannot handle SEC pitching.

When LSU played A&M they were #1 team in country. Not surprisingly LSU won 2 out of 3 vs #1 team with Kling out of starting lineup.

Same for Neal he hammers midweek pitching and hits .132 in SEC.Not surprisingly the only game LSU lost to Aggies was the one Neal caught.
I know reading comprehension is difficult for you, but you can refer back to my 1:53 pm w post where I clearly stated Kling should be used as defensive replacement only.

Obviously Jay must have thought Brown was a better option than Kling because he started Brown all 3 games and only subbed Kling in late.
