It was a similar result one year later in Tuscaloosa.

2014 was a similar chokejob

winning that game though wouldn't have had the same big picture implications winning this one would have though. 2012 was pretty much throwing away another NC

now LSU has a myriad of long term issues

Agreed.

I feel like this game more than 1/9 did LSU and Les Miles in.

I’m kinda tired of hearing about the supposedly Chavis “prevent” defense. Go back and review all the plays in the last drive. There was no “ prevent.” The DBs played off the receivers when they blitzed, but were in generally tight coverage in man and properly spaced in cover 2. They got beat by excellent catches. Ironically, had Chavis played “prevent,” the screen would not have worked. I suggest not listening to the fricking announcers babbling BS in the nano seconds after a play. form your own conclusions by closely watching the game.

Chavis was not responsible for that last drive. Good execution by Alabama won that game.

By the way...Tiger stadium was ugly-loud.... until Yelden crosses the goal line. I’ve never seen stunned quiet suddenly overtake 80,000 people. You could hear a pin drop.

You're probably the only person who thinks that

Well done, donkey

80000?

Hopefully one day you'll accidentally drop yourself off of the upper deck ramp

2 great nicknames came out of that game. Norwood got called "Money" and Blake Sims got called "suck it"

I’m pretty sure it came out after the game that Jalen Mills a freshman at the time blitzed when he was suppose to stay home with the RB which resulted in busted coverage

We should have won both of those games

Yep. And no matter how many times Jacknola has reviewed the game tape like the obsessed codger he is, we definitely went into Chavis's trademark soft prevent.

The funny thing is that LSU got the ball back with almost a minute left and did absolutely nothing.

Had the chance to win the game if they had the chest to do it.

Alabama still would have ran another play and won the game.

Maybe but if Chavis would have stuck to normal defense, I doubt we even get to kick a FG. That kickoff to Bama to start the drive though....

fricking incresible game, the stadium was bonkers.

I'll never forget how happy Saban was to win.

He looked happier to win that than some of the national titles.
