Funny that they didn't play like they were pissed at Bama.
Thay team was to weak psychologically to be considered the greastest of anything beyond greatest choke artist.

Those rings are another example of why LSU is an embarrassment.

That collapse was a long time coming that year. After the first bama game they looked like a different team, barring the OM game.
Slept walk through WKU
Struggled with Arky at home the first 25 minutes or so.
The SECCG was very telling. Offense was absolutely putrid in the first half. JJ looked like shite, yet the quick hook that got Lee pulled from the Bama game never applied to him. Mathieu had a couple of big returns that sparked our run, but the way our offense looked I had a bad feeling going into the re match.
The real travesty is that one of the greatest defenses we've ever had was wasted thanks to that shite offense.

Uhhh, Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida. Three of the teams you listed. What does it matter who Bama played? Anyone who actually can sit down, watch a football game, and know what is going on agrees Bama would have destroyed Okie Lite if the game was played in Stillwater, Tuscaloosa, or anywhere. So why should they get in over Bama, when Bama's only loss was by three points in overtime in a game where they fricked themselves numerous times?

That's my feeling as well.
Which is why we yielded only one touchdown (late in the game) to Bama in 8 plus quarters yet managed only 3 field goals of our own.
Bama had a great defense as well that year though and many would argue it was better than ours.
I haven't missed Jefferson or Lee for one second since they left.

That isn't an indictment on the quality of the team overall, but an indictment of the one slip-up Bama had.
After the dust settled Bama was by far the second best resume holding program available. Why this is so contentious for some people is beyond me.

Maybe one day Texas A&M will beat LSU again, but I don't see that day coming anytime soon. Enjoy battling for 4th place in the SEC West.

Okie State didn't have 'the name' and wasn't 'glamorous' enough. Let's make a do-over and get more ratings! According to the BCS, the team with the stronger SOS and higher votes would give them more points. What is UNBELIEVABLE to me is that this was allowed. A handful of people who purposely voted the more deserving team THREE OR FOUR SPOTS LOWER than everyone else did - did in effect decide who would play in the NCG. And no one did a thing about it.
Bless your heart, it's been over 2 years now and you're still melting. You will never be the same. Saban did this to you.
