re: 2011 LSU knew 9-6 was a fluke and they would get curb stomped in the rematch

9-6 game. Hopefully a lot of people took the under on that one

“L”su also had a month to prepare, Einstein.

And LSU did not do a single thing different. Multiple players are on record since then talking about how Miles wouldn’t listen to anyone. Then, two days before the game that stupid frick thought it would be a good idea to go through a 3 hour FULL CONTACT practice.
LSU was beat long before they showed up to the Dome that night.

Why would they celebrate already knowing they were in the championship game??? That is dumb

I know we lost, but that was an intense game. A great game, tbh.
The 9-6 game felt like a one game wildcard playoff game. Where every pitch you can feel the tension.
Every down in that game you could cut the tension with a knife. Bama felt like the better team that night, just the wrong end of it.

With Les making no damn changes but gump if you had won the first game we would have beat that arse

I mean, everyone knew watching the first game that the better team lost, especially LSU folks - which is why they weirdly lost their minds when the second game was set. Oh well, things took care of themselves.

Bama is playing LSU this week.
And reminding you guys of this game never really gets old.

It's amusing reading tRant with how nostalgic they are about that 2011 team. They're talked about as if they had the GOAT defense and lost due to a bad gameplan. In reality Bama's defense was better in every phase of the game all season long and they got dog walked

Greatest of all time? No. It accomplished more than 90% of SEC teams ever have in a single season though.
Geno smith led WVU? Destroyed.
Pac 12 champ Oregon? Destroyed.
National Champion beaten in their own house.
Blew the doors off Georgia in the SEC championship.
Beat the brakes off of Petrinos #3 ranked hawgs.
Say what you will, when LSU is good..they are GOOD.

The worst kept secret was LSU fans knew what was coming. You can’t give Saban that long to prepare with that much talent.

2020 Bama would beat 2019 LSU easily as well

In a 2 team playoff, it was complete bullshite that Alabama got in over Oklahoma State. Alabama beat one team that finished in the top 25 all year if I recall.

I mean, Bama won 21-0. LSU was a pile of dog shite that night.
BUT, Bama kicked 5 FGs that night. 3 were from 50+. Their lone TD came with 4 minutes left in the game. Their defense was great but let's not act like they were shutting down some juggernaut offense. 4-5 wide was fricking Swahili to Les. He insisted on pounding Ware, Hilliard and Jefferson. Over and over and over an over..... It was the single most frustrationg game I've ever seen in person.

Jefferson was a Milroe wanna be. Thats why LSU couldn't move the ball. LSU survived the season off an NFL defense and talented, but mediocre offense until they met an even talented team with slightly better coaching and QB.

Never heard such a pre-defeated group in my life.
And they played like it. With the natty on the line.
TCU might have had more pregame confidence.

This is the answer.
I didn't care who won but it was obvious that Jefferson was the weak link.
If Les had gone to the Mettsiah during the season maybe the Tigers would have had a chance.

Ha ha. 1995 Nebraska would have beat 2009 Alabama. 2001 Miami would have beat 2012 Alabama. Is that how we do that? Make a claim about something we can’t prove . I guess we’ll give the 2019 Trophy back.
