Offense was stacked too.
Ware, Ford , blue, reuban randle. ODell beckham.jarvis landry and that's just the rb and wr positions at lsu.

I've never seen a game where literally most of the season was a build up to that game.
to LSU fans

Odds were definitely against us in the rematch. Teams who lose the first time have 80% chance of winning the rematch.....I am not even bringing up our schedule ....it was ridiculous.

That 2011 LSU team beat them once and gave them a tough game(despite the score) in the 2nd game
The NC game really was tight into the 4th quarter. Our defense played very well, Bama exploited us in the secondary just enough to put up 15 points. The lone touchdown was after our defense was totally gassed.
The Bama defense put on an absolute clinic, I'm of the mind that there is nothing LSU could have done to beat them that night.
Look at all this brotherhood and shite going on in this thread

How do you think these teams would stack up against 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami?
Both teams probably beat 95 Nebraska by 28 points. It would be like an NFL team vs college team today.
'01 Miami.. both lose by about 7 points?

I feel that, deep down, LSU & Bama fans have similar respect for strong defense and balanced offense that involves a strong running game. Even though we won't admit it here on the rant, both programs have a strong respect for each other. I know most Bama fans really like & respect Les.
Looking forward to my first trip to Tiger Stadium on Saturday. Been waiting a long time to see it in person.

Provided the game is close it will be an amazing atmosphere.

I've said this a ton of times, and I will say it again, Those two teams are the best and most dominant college football teams of the BCS. frick 2001 Miami both would've beat them

You're in for a treat

Bama's D was more stout but LSU must have had the fastest and most versatile D ever assembled. The talent level that was on the field at between the teams may never be matched.
No team, spread, hunh offense stood a chance against either

quote:since '05, it's been a bama and lsu sandbox. auburn had an ineligible once in a decade player and caught lightning in a bottle last season. fla had a once in a decade player. other than that, everyone else has been tagging along for the ride. that's not to say that the other teams are also-rans. they are among the most dominant teams in the country and would win most other conferences. for the last 15 years or so, the sec has been incredible to watch. one prizefight after another. i'm a big sec fan during bowl season and for ooc games.

I don't know what happened but there is no denying we ran the same 5 plays the whole game.

Les Miles > Coker
Nick Saban >>>>>> Coker
All that talent just happened to pan out in the NFL, but that team was vastly overrated and even faced a weak as shite Nebraska in the title game. I would actually question Nebraska's case over Miami. Odd offense that was run very efficiently to the point of where it was unstoppable. Alabama and LSU beat 2001 Miami by multiple touchdowns.

I am as well, but only because it's a showcase of what we have to deal with year in and out in conference play. SEC owns the ooc games and bowl season. They love to hold losing conference games against us in national rankings but powerhouse sec teams only lose to other powerhouse sec teams

quote:it's a tragedy. I wish someone, whether miles or whoever, would come forward and admit what happened. a wheel route, bubble screen, read option, I don't know, something. something that doesn't depend on the oline mauling the dline. as long as miles has been notching more and more sec wins, I've refrained from criticism but, that game definitely warrants some and he's at the top so it falls to him.
I don't know what happened
