After Stallings called it quits at Bama a "so called"HC search ended with the hiring of Mike Dubose. The Defensive line coach under stallings. He had no head coaching experience however because he was an Alabama man the fans were pleased that he would receive his dream job. The dream ended 4 years later after an embarrassing 3-8 season. He was 24-23 over all and 16-16 in the conference.
I truly hope that history doesn't repeat itself at LSU.

he was terrible. The suits thought the Bama name alone would win.

The Dubose hire is probably the closest comparison to Orgeron you can historically find.

They hired a nobody to run a pretty well developed program just because he was a fan favorite cuz he was "family"

At least Orgeron on has a little HC experience though.

I also hope history does not repeat itself either. O is certainly a better recruiter than Dubose and Os secretaries are safer

Ha!! That's where the comparison is wrong - Dubose was a bama man, yet orgeron is a northwestern state demon - so there!!!we are in damn good shape with this damn strong hire.....

I miss miles

And the same thing is likely to happen when Saban leaves considering dumb fricks were wanting Kirby to succeed Saban.

That hire cost a lot of alabama decision makers their jobs.

A lot of fans thought carrying on the "developed program", (but hopefully with a more proficient offense than Stallings would run) would work, more so than because it was DuBose. He was a darn good defensive line coach and a pretty good defensive co-ordinator.

Didn't they bring in Mal as AD after the program went in the crapper ? He did hire Mike Price and then Sulla. After Mike he
hit the lotto with Saban.
I miss Mal.

Fulmer is the reason your team is in the shape you are in now.
The Fulmer curse is in full swing.
