Florida fans almost as obsessed as Auburn fans with Georgia. I’m guessing the recent @ss whoopins is hurtful.

They really weren’t a dominant team.

Luckily, they didn't need to be that season. Ironically, the other Herschel teams were better, but couldn't win their bowl games and more national championships.

Neither were the ‘72 Dolphins, but there they are. The only undefeated Super Bowl champions.

Florida has won 3 NC and Auburn is 1 of 2 since UGA last title..
Those are the games people will remember.

It’s so easy to go undefeated no gator football team has ever done it in the history of time.

Nice reminder. Thanks OP.

The point of the game is to win, and that team did that. No one gives a frick about anything else.

Schedules were made years in advance back but I find it hilarious that there isn't ONE modern day G5 or FCS team on there.

Sorry for not scheduling a NM State or Western Carolina

The score was actually 17-10 and I never argued Alabama was better than Georgia.

It still blows my mind how Georgia won that game. They had less than 130 yards of offense while Notre Dame had three times that number on the stat sheet.

I think Buck Belue went 0-11 on pass attempts in that game, too.

I dare say New Mexico State or Western Carolina could have beaten one or two of those teams.

It's pathetic that Dawg fans are still living off that joke of a national title team.

But, guess what? There it is.....and, no one can change it.

If you ask the UF teams the past two years, UGA was lucky to beat them...
