Some of those claims are sketchy, especially 1967

True, but they were a great program. Now they're a shitty one.

If the cutoff ain't the forward pas, it's platoons, otherwise integration, else, some other bench mark.

Integration seems to be the most reasonable and practical point to me. Start counting at about 1970

Whenever they did well regionally, they crumbled nationally. E.g., in their "unscored on season", they went to the Rose Bowl and were shutout 14-0.

They were missing All-American (and #1 draft pick) George Cafego for that game. With Cafego they beat Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl the year before.

Final Polls were finished prior to Bowl Games until the 1950s...so they were more of an after thought back in the day...

Not the same, back then CFB wasn't as popular as Baseball, since Baseball attracted most of the USA's best Athletes, the players back then were much better Athletes and much closer to a mofern day MLB Player, than a CFB player from the same Era could compare to a CFB Player in 2020

Also, Baseball the way the game is, the maximum of human potential by earlier players has come closer to hitting that Maximum potential in earlier Eras unlike CFB

For example, Bob Feller had a fastball that hit the high 90s or 100mph back in the late 30s or early 40s, very similar to Aroldis Chapman in the current Major Leagues, and Duke Snyder was 6-3 190lbs and was a 200 meter track guy that was a JUCO Teammate of Jackie Robinson and his athleticism was comparable to MLB players from this Era

In summary, MLB Players from back in that Era got the best Athletes in the entire Country due to the popularity back then, so using Baseball for a CFB comparison won't work

Man, you're really flailing.

The average weight of a modern Sun Belt D line is higher than the legendary Steelers Steel Curtain defensive line. Are you gonna discredit their Super Bowls?

All your mental gymnastics are futile and really just an exercise in idiocy.

it only takes a couple of bad hires to set a program back

No doubt

Good lord. How many bad hires have y’all had in a row?

Y’all haven’t been really good since the Global War on Terror began.
