What a hell of a time to have been a Vols fan. 14 conference titles and 6 national championships. Bring the Vols back

Look at them now. Falling out of the big six. It’s a shame really

Some crazy low number of losing seasons to I believe.

But Mike Dubose still has a more recent SEC championship.

You’ve almost got to try to be bad if you’re a program like Tennessee with the way the deck is stacked in CFB. It’s really quite an amazing feat how shitty they’ve become

Some of those claims are sketchy, especially 1967

Weird seeing a Mizzou fan talk crap to another football program

No one cares about 1928 til 1949, start the clock at 1950 for Legit analysis of CFB, my preference is 1960, but I'll go back to 1950 for diplomacy's sake

And who exactly do you think you are?
You don’t dictate parameters on here! The OP made a point and you either got it or it went over your head

You can’t keep a program like Tennessee down forever like it might be with other ncaa football programs. Yes of course everyone wants to win but Tennessee football will win championships again they just have too much want to and willingness to make it happen. It’s hard to put into words I’m not eloquent enough to do it but they just have that “it” that refuses to stay irrelevant. That’s what the big six have that the rest don’t.

Nine losing seasons between 1928 and 2007. Seven since 2008.

Yeah I’d say maybe but it’s not like their home state can provide the resources to do it like others to come back quickly. They have to string together some winning years and get some Alabama and Georgia talent which is easier said than done these days.
I’d like them back to help balance the East out some so I’m pulling for them.

True, but they were a great program. Now they're a shitty one.

Let it be a cautionary tale. No matter your status, it only takes a couple of bad hires to set a program back for a decade.
We aren't the first and won't be the last.

Guys no one cares about the ancient past unless they may have said something racist or been the descendant of a confederate soldier

Actually, it was 2 national championships. They also played exceptionally weak schedules during the Neyland years with as many games played in Tenn as possible.
Whenever they did well regionally, they crumbled nationally. E.g., in their "unscored on season", they went to the Rose Bowl and were shutout 14-0. The General, who was a great coach, was 3-6 in major bowl games in his career at UT.

Yeah, he was also notorious for not taking the bowl games seriously. Actually, your entire post is well painted ignorant trash.
