What's good in claiming/bragging/exaggerating about 16 titles if no one else besides Bammer acknowledges them?

The fact that we can claim however many we want, and it changes NOTHING about the fact that regardless of how bad you people try to marginalize it, we're still the leaders by a wide margin. Beautiful.

That is something LSU fans can't ever fathom because LSU never got close to the Rose Bowl. The entire nation knew who won those Rose Bowls and acknowledged Alabama as the best in the land. And at that time, no one in the rest of the country had any idea that swamp-dwellers even played the game. No one cared either.
Alabama invented Southern football with those Rose Bowl championships and brought respect to the region at a time that was still pretty raw from the Civil War and Reconstruction.
You don't like 1941? We'll substitute 1945, 11-0, Rose Bowl winner. Army was awarded that trophy because of WW II. Don't like that? How about we substitute 1966 or 1977 when play-for-tie Notre Dame was media jumped over Alabama.
I have a better idea... we'll just take 1941 and you can take a hike back to the bayou and your bait line and fat women.

Man, the flaming, trolling, stupid, and petty bullshite I can take, but you are all from either the Deep South, the shitty part of Florida or trashy Appalachian country. Everbodies women are fat, none of you can read, everybody puts a disturbing amount of time bitching about this sport, and we are all still proud of where we're from.

Not every team, but Michigan, Washington State, Stanford, Harvard, Cal, USC, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech all claim national championships in at least one year that they won the Rose Bowl.
