It's not as easy as it looks, especially when you get down to the end. Keep in mind if you move one it has a dominoes effect. This feels about as good a combination of fair and matching teams with histories/rivalries as I can think of.
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, Miss St
Arkansas - Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas
Auburn - Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt
Florida - Georgia, South Carolina, LSU
Georgia - Florida, Auburn, South Carolina
Kentucky - South Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee
LSU - Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Florida
Ole Miss - Mississippi St, LSU, Texas A&M
Mississippi State - Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Alabama
Missouri - Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma
Oklahoma - Texas, Arkansas, Missouri
South Carolina - Kentucky, Florida, Georgia
Tennessee - Vanderbilt, Alabama, Kentucky
Texas - Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas
Texas A&M - LSU, Texas, Ole Miss
Vanderbilt - Tennessee, Mississippi State, Auburn
Of course, if we go to 9 league games, it really dilutes the "whose permanents are harder" situation because your other 6 are going to be different almost every year.
I dunno, fun to work through.

I'm sure you had to piss off a few fan bases no matter what but this aint it

Isn't there way more history with Arkansas/Texas than Mizzou/Texas?

Sorry, this came down directly from the REC. My hands are tied.

I’m not interested in losing the Alabama game but I can see how giving Bama us, Auburn, and Tennessee isn’t really fair.
Though Auburn might be moving down the ladder even more in this new world to the point where that’s more of an Ole Miss type game.

Yea I flipped that - not sure how I missed having Arky/Texas play every year.

I think that I remember that Missouri/Oklahoma was a significant rivalry....may have been back in the Big-8 days!

This makes the most sense factoring in power balance, geography, opponent rotation, and history between programs.
So more than likely it won't happen.

Damn that would be a fun schedule though.

We've had decent rivalries with both Texas, OU, and Nebraska.

Good God George, could you have given bama and easier schedule!
Why not substitute Vandy for Miss. State?
Seriously….as much as I hate having to play bama every year, I think it makes LSU a better program.
If your not building your program to beat the best, you will never be the best.

I would be furious if we lost the Bama game

10 Game Schedule
5 Permanent Games
5 Rotating Games
You should be able to get most desired matchups from 5 permanent games.. and you play everyone in conference at least twice over 4 years.
Not sure how the SEC standings would work though.. perhaps just best record?
