I believe the areas where we have built dorms in the last 10-15 years have mainly taken place of wooded areas that no one used. They haven't taken place of "green space". At least not any green space where anyone went.

I guess you are purposely leaving out the gigantic dome. I mean your opinion is better than the people's who gave Alabama awards for the design.

This is the dorm I do my student job at. It is literally one of the nicest places on campus.. In fact they are making a whole new complex right now.. It's called presidential village.. Two giant sized dorms (might as well be hotels) , a rec center, and dining hall in the middle of those. It is beautiful, if an aub is too ignorant to see that then I'm sorry for them. No way you've been to our campus if you believe what you are saying is correct.

It is. I had myself a research lab in Shelby. They have tons of separate labs for every research group. All the space in the world with everything you can imagine to use at your fingertips. Each lab equipped with its own private office with computers. It's nice in Shelby hall.

I'll give Carolina their due, it is one of the more unappreciated campuses as far a beauty goes. I spent a week in Columbia when I was in school at Georgia Health Sciences. It is a beautiful campus.

You say you are complaining about the dorms, then you mean buildings in general.

The construction fences are green. It must be different seeing traffic. I know Tuscaloosa must seem like NYC compared to the plains. You have obviously lost this argument. Quit digging yourself deeper, it's getting hard to watch. Every barner says that "Tuscaloosa is growing too fast" and "they're just letting everyone in". Aubs are all afraid of what Alabama has growing in Tuscaloosa.

They as in UA, town as in City of Tuscaloosa.
I referenced Dorms, but they are just an example.

So you think the city or the school is growing too fast? Growing too fast for what?
Both are booming. New restaurants, new stores, new apartments, etc. Not sure why you view this as a bad thing.

You know the university does construction on more than just dorms, right? Since I graduated in 2010, they have added about 5 engineering buildings, they are adding onto the student center, they are always improving the business buildings. Since when is improving a bad thing? The main issue with traffic is that the signals haven't been timed in probably at least a decade.
