Great school, and right on the boundary between the south side of Birmingham and Homewood/Vestavia/Mountain Brook.
Totally fine, if you can swing it (it's expensive).

It would actually be great from a central location standpoint. Could buy up some of the hood around downtown for cheap and improve the entire area. Wouldn't get rid of the hobos though. Become a big problem since the law used for getting them off the street got struck down.

It's already happening downtown. SEC offices would just speed it up........ and improve my property values

Samford is in a great area and has plenty of shopping around the campus. The neighborhoods around that campus are all upper middle class White. Kids can cross the main drag to the jogging course and to the Target with ease.
My wife is a graduate of Samford.

Little Rock is in much better shape in terms of violent crime and city leadership than the other cities listed. Just look at the demographics.
