Here's a question - Can Grant Williams play basketball? Anyone who says No just hasn't seen him play enough.

So Gafford went from a lottery pick to a 2nd rd pick in 1 season?

Absolutely. I'm excited to see Burns and James added into the mix next year as well. They've said that Burns has had a good redshirt year with S&C and James being a McDonalds All American may be ready to step in immediately at the 3 as a true freshman. Hes supposed to be that good. Future looks bright

Is Garland that elite that despite not playing much in college due to injury he's regarded as the #4 overall player?

Bra he doesn't have a position. He's a freakin' 6'7 power forward.
Those guys don't make it in the NBA.

A little surprised Schofield isn't higher.

IMO grant williams is a great college player, but will have trouble adjusting in the nba.

I wouldn't count him completely out though. A lot of folks thought he wouldn't make a good college player but he has been outstanding. I think he stays another year but if he were to go I think he'd carve out a role for himself somewhere even if it were a small role. One factor he has that isn't talked about enough is that he plays smart basketball. It's one of the reasons he's been able to do so well in college.

Will be interesting to see how James is used next year assuming Bone returns. He should definitely help defensively but I’m not sure how Bone, Turner, Bowden and James will be utilized together offensively. Should give them a lot of options.

Think they will be very active on the grad transfer big market whether Williams returns or not.

Would be foolish to let Gafford slide out of the 1st.

I really wish Herro would come back and improve his strength, he has struggled vs very athletic 2's this season. I believe he could play himself into the lottery and probably be 1st Team All-American with another season working in the weight room and on conditioning...but he is likely gone.

A guy who plays on a loaded team and gets by on great defense.

Also, he's also really more a 3, because he's only 6'5 3/4". 37% of his NBA shots have come from 3. With Durant there though he's a "Defacto" 4, although truly the NBA has become more an more position-less at the 2-4 spots in many cases as the 2's have gotten bigger and bigger and the 4's better and better with the ball in their hands and shooters from 3.

Williams is built a lot like Draymond, but for him to make an impact in the NBA I bet he has to also be on a great team like Draymond is. Otherwise you may never really hear about him. Draymond is just an average/above average NBA player overall with his defense picking him up a lot. He's basically an average to even below average offensive player.

Over 90% of Williams' shots come from 2, if he's to see any success in the NBA, he needs to change that drastically. I just dont see him as a 1st rounder, maybe 2nd if he came out this year. FWIW, Draymond was just in the beginning of the 2nd round too.

Doesn't mean he will become a good NBA player.

But I see him as a squad rotational guy. 8-9th man off the bench, spot starts if someone gets hurt.
