But Alabama, Auburn, and I think even Ole Miss completed expansion. LSU does nothing in response. A&M makes the mere announcement and BOOOM, LSU announces expansion a few months later.

i have a hard time giving people the benefit of the doubt just because i think the odds are more likely they're stupid than trolling when it comes to this board.

I thought LSU had their plans WAY before A&M. The only thing I thought had changed was that the plans included seats for under 100K and now they have put them over 100K. Frankly, everyone was wondering why they were expanding and still staying under the 100K threshold, so this makes sense.

The line between stupid and trolling is perilously thin on this board

they did. the a&m fan is just being stupid. and as far as going over 100k that is still up for debate. well some seem to think its a done deal, i still have my doubts since not a single thing has been put in the papers about them upping the capacity.

I think they had plans well before A&M's announcement. A&M has also been planing this since about 2005. Nobody in their right mind believes that LSU is doing this in response to A&M. Stadium expansion plans take years/decades especially at State schools.
C'mon. I'm insulted.

And Aggie had to feed that Texas size ego and top Alabama's 101,821.
Hopefully this doesn't kick off another arms race. As we all know the SEC can get a little out of control with things.

Why in the everloving HELL would LSU just arbitrarily decide to expand JUST BECAUSE Texas A&M (a Big 12 team) did ???
Didn't you bother to read my post in this thread with links explaining that Skip Bertman envisioned joining the East Upper and new (at the time) West Upper in 2000
Why in God's green earth would we make up a Hooterville Hayseed reason to add a South End Zone to Tiger Stadium only because a Big 12 team was thinking about it?
Again, fool. Skip Bertman """""IN 2000""""" planned to join the East Upper and new West Upper
Deck that had just been finished and started preliminary talks in 2000 after being named AD.

I welcome an arms race. With the SECN $$$ that will put our programs light years ahead of others around the nation and solidify the SEC as the NFL minor league for eternity.
