BAMA fans are confident, but keep up with the wishful thinking.

Still showing Sayin as a Bama commit.

Not sure how that works in recruiting class rankings since he did indeed sign with Bama. He was enrolled at Alabama and then entered the portal rather than just being a commit who then decommitted.

well, I think it will be a couple of yrs to get really rolling good with his own type players, more agile offensive line as opposed to our current huge and less athletic players, for an example. I expect 2 or 3 losses this next season but of course would love to be wrong.

BK’s strategy of taking a good mix of blue chips and non-blue chips along with locking down LA kids who presumably have at least some roots/loyalty (whatever exists these days) to LSU is probably not a bad strategy at all in the NIL and free transfer era of college football. A five star and a 3 star backup from your home state may be easier to keep than a 5 star and a 4 star back up from California. Threading the needle of getting elite talent and also developing depth and backups who will stay in your system for a few years is the new name of the game.

This seems like a very fair assessment. I'd agree w/ that. We'll see what happens in a few years time.

Deboer is a good coach, but Milroe is not his kind of QB. It will be interesting to see how they adjust the offense to Milroe. He does not have the arm Penix has (or the 6 years of collegiate experience either), but is much more athletic.

Playing to the strengths of personnel is what good coaches do.

Stars are subjective... Justin Jefferson was a 3 star. Just think about that.

Not necessarily.

Urban Meyer was a great coach, but he ran his style of offense regardless of what his talent was. I remember seeing Chris Leak running zone read option in year 1 and it was ugly.

Year 2 it worked because UF had brought in the right kind of talent on that side of the ball. But Meyer didn't play to the talent, he brought in talent to fit the system and won national titles doing so.

LSU gets bumped down in update

Should've waited on this thread until after they updated.

You’re looking at industry. My thread is about on3 only

Once again, you've linked On3 Industry ratings which are their version of the 247 Composite.

This thread is about the On3 rankings themselves.

Two different things.
