I see it being a close game.

This is the sixth time the CG is a rematch of teams that have played during the regular season. Of the five times prior the team that won in the regular season also won the CG (one exception was 2001 LSU beating TN) so Auburn has that going for them.

I don't know if it holds true for FieldTurf, but I have always heard that guys are faster on artificial turf than on grass and if so that makes Alshon and the SC WR corps that much better this time around.

My heart says AU. My gut says SC. I think it will be a three point game either way.

It would be terrible for the SEC if it's champ and representative in a BCS bowl has several losses. Auburn will win 41-24 and face Oregon. SC will lose and be the 5th SEC slot in the bowl selection process. The SEC needs to support and root for AU.

Auburn 42 USC 38.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Ole Ball Coach pull out a big W but I just don't think that's going to happen. I think it will be a close game, but Auburn will win.

Especially if Garcia is hurt like I have heard..is this true?

I might come across as biased since I want Auburn to lose but I have a feeling that they aren't going to win this game. Just like I had a feeling about West Virginia in 2007, I have the same feeling here.

I think South Carolina comes out of the gates like Alabama did last week. They take an early 14 point lead. This time though, the magic isn't there, and with each passing second that ticks off the clock, the pressure mounts harder and harder on Auburn. Auburn never really gets in a rhythm, and it's clear the pressure is affecting the play because of forced passes, dropped balls, and blown assignments.

South Carolina will take a 21-10 lead into the 4th quarter, and when it looks like Auburn is going to start its usual comeback, Cam Newton throws an interception that sets up a South Carolina TD to go up 28-10. Auburn scores quickly to make it 28-17 and it looks like the rally is back, but South Carolina runs a lot of clock and kicks a field goal to go up 31-17. Auburn never gets anything going after that.

USC - 14 7 0 10 - 31
AUB - 0 7 3 7 - 17

Cam - 38 (he even kicks the field goal)
USCe - 17*

*I'm a Hog homer, so I'm only predicting such a blowout so I can start celebrating our Sugar Bowl bid at the half.

I think Spurrier winning the SEC at USC would be a fantastic story for the national media and could bring some positive light to the conference given the last month. And it could very well happen. However, until someone shows me that Auburn with Newton at QB can be stopped, I don't think they will lose.

Nothing goes right for Auburn. Lattimore runs for over 300 yards of total offense keeping the ball away from Cam Newton. Spurrier runs 2 trick plays that both score TD's. It' a long day for Auburn and their fans.

Auburn still makes it into the NC game to play Oregon or whoever.
