Per the D being soft: It's worth noting that the D didn't blitz. This allowed the Offense to just go out and execute the called plays.
Petrino mentioned in the post-game interview that they didn't blitz because he didn't want the QB's audibles on TV....

I find all these threads about Petrino to UF interesting. While a few journalists have put his name on a few short lists, most of the concentration by national media has been on Mullen, not Petrino. You wouldn't be able to tell it from TD threads.
