Grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. Remember very distinctly that there were not really any LSU fans around before I left there in 2002. Remember very clearly the mass bandwagon-hopping-on that began to occur about 5 games in to 2003. Seeing these same bandwagoners get to pound their chests makes my blood boil year in and year out.

This series has been a solid gut-punch, groin kick for the most part over the past 10 years. Here's the recap from my point of view.

2013-Loss. Went in kindof expecting to lose, not really knowing what we had in Gus' first year. Thinking we might have a shot. Game got away from Auburn in the first half. Came alive in the second half, never could quite catch up.

2012-Loss. Went in expecting a pretty severe beating at home. Even though the score was close the whole game, I never felt like we had a shot.

2011-Loss. Pretty severe beatdown from start to finish.

2010-Win. Close game at Jordan Hare featuring Cam’s Heisman moment and a game sealing HUGE play from O-Mac. I remember getting a little dust in my eye after that win. I think thats the point I realized in that year that we were going to win it all.

2009-Loss. Don’t remember much about this one except that it was Chizik’s first year. No real expectations. 3TD loss.

2008-Loss. Chris Todd at QB. LSU scores go-ahead TD with 1:03 to go. Good solid kick in the gonads.

2007-Loss. The whole, “lets throw a crazy pass and score a touchdown on the last play of the game rather than run the ball one more time to get to the middle of the field and set up the 40 yard fg for the win” game. Kick in the nads.

2006-Win. Very close, defensive struggle game. Also the “waived-off PI call” game. From where I was sitting, I remember not knowing if the LSU receiver had caught the ball or gotten in on the last play of the game.

2005-Loss. Vaughn misses 5 field goals. FIVE DAD-GUM FIELD GOALS. Kenny Irons goes nuts rushing all over the place. Vaughn’s miss in overtime ends the game.

2004-Win. Still top 2 or 3 games I’ve been to. (2010 provided some real gems for us!!) We had awesome seats and became lifelong #86 fans that day.

This is why they get to claim 7 of the last 10. They have provided a couple of real beat downs, but for the most part, these are snake-bitten type losses. The series is a lot closer than those bandwagoners want to admit, but we're still on the wrong end of it. IT IS TIME FOR THAT TO END.

Living in Georgia I've come to hate UGA almost as much as Bama. When I lived in Alabama, I always thought the DSOR was great and never had anything against UGA fans. Not anymore. Living over here has changed all that. I have a couple of friends who are AU fans and grew up in Georgia, and they hate UGA more than Bama.

Bama game is still my Bama game though.

I'm right there with you. Grew up in southeast louisiana...BR country basically right outside New Orleans(Covington/Mandeville). Everyone went to LSU. But yeah I remember when I was a kid in 90s and early 2000s in highschool before 2003, there wasn't that many thumping their chest about LSU. The past 7 years have been brutal for me mainly because of friends I have that are sidewalk fans and are extremely arrogant when it comes to LSU. frick that school, and frick those people. Just terrible. I feel like no one has a clue unless you actually lived in the state.

I was at AU from 99-04, and this was always as big as the IB to me because of how intense these games always were. Bama was shite, and it was was fun watching Tubs annoy the mess out of them, but I took just as much pleasure beating LSU as I did anyone.

This x 100000.

Grew up in ATL and went to AU. Lots of UGA relatives and a daughter that graduated from there and was in the band.

Suspended hatred for those 4 years but its back on now bitches. Full on jihad has returned.

I hate the motherfrickers. MORE than Bama. Wife grew up in Montgomery and she still hates Bama more, but I cant stand Georgia.

Are you me?

But seriously, it's annoying. There were NO LSU fans to be found in north LA prior to 2001. Now everyone and their mother here is on their bandwagon. Nevermind that South Louisianians consider North Louisianians second class citizens, constantly look down on them, and talk crap about them, they'll still line up to be their bitches.

I wish it hadn't been to Alabama, but I was still glad to see LSU miss out on those Monroe guys who committed to UA.

Same here...

My family is originally from Alabama.....Mom is a Bama grad, Dad is an Auburn Grad.

I was born and raised an Auburn Tiger in the shadows of Tiger Stadium.....outside Of my years of college, and a couple years after college living in FL, a majority of my life has been spent in metro Baton Rouge.....

I have been waiting since 1999 to witness my beloved AU Tigers leave Tiger Stadium with a victory.....it has been a long 15 years for mr personally.....

My two favorite teams re Auburn and whoever is playing LSU...

bama is on it's own level for me. FSU is less than half a rung behind, and last year didn't have anything to do with that. Since I joined this site, UGA has climbed to FSU's level. LSU is half a rung behind UGA and FSU. To recap, frick THEM ALL!!!!
