That old saying about the 2nd string QB being the most popular player in the fans eyes seems to apply to yall's running backs.

When Ingram was the guy everyone said Richardson is the best and wanted him to get the ball more.

When Richardson started it wasn't nearly as bad but people we saying Lacy should get more action.

Then with Lacy as the #1 everyone was on the TJ Yeldon train.

Now Yeldon is first string and this year people wanted Kenyon Drake and then at the end of the year its been all Derrick Henry almost to the point where Yeldon is an afterthought.

I get y'all have one of if not the most talented stable of backs in football but am I the only one who notices this? Maybe its because I live around and work with so many Alabama fans (who for the most part can take off their Crimson glasses at least for a moment).

Thoughts?

Everyone I knew wanted Lacy to be the starter.

Yeldon should also be 3rd string next season.

I think it has been worse this year because Yeldon never cemented himself as the best back. I called him an average SEC starter earlier this year and was laughed at. I thought it would be Tenpenny, but Henry is the truth.

I'm not sure I agree with this. If your argument was people wanted to see more of Fowler (before he got hurt) then I might have agreed with that.

And no one would disagree that Drake was better than Yeldon this past season.

Everyone laughed because that is laughable.

Thank you for your interest in our fan behavior toward our running backs. Congratulations on winning the SEC and playing for the national championship.

You were right this year. Yeldon hasn't exactly been impressive.

This seems to be true. But I guess the same could be said of Auburn Head Coaches and their assistants.

And he still has better career college stats than Hill.

It's the "Bammer Mysticism Effect". I authored an article on this very phenomenon in the December 2012 issue of the journal Sports Psychology and Economics. The sufferers exhibit irrational beliefs of grandeur pertaining to the Crimson Tide. They often hallucinate National Championships. The BME stricken are prone to committing aerial assault, lewd sexual acts, herbicide, and homicide. Hallmark signs are more than 2 window flags on their vehicle and Crocs on their feet.

Yeldons fumbles have been a fricking nightmare. And his two 1,000 yard seasons don't make up for it.

I didn't read this thread, but I just have to say you are the worst and everyone hates you, Toby.
