Saban's press conference:
-- Saban liked the practice habits of the team last week. Injury issues aren't there right now.
-- This rivalry in the last few years has meant a lot in the national rankings, Saban said.
-- The quality of players at LSU is among the best in the nation.
-- "This team could very easily be 9-0."
-- The LSU third-down conversion rate (58 percent) is the best in the nation.
-- "They always play great on defense."
-- RB Jeremy Hill "has great speed for his size." He was very interested in coming to Alabama, but it didn't work out, Saban said.
-- LSU QB Zach Mettenberger played great against Alabama last year, Saban said, and he contributes quite a bit to the efficiency of the LSU offense.
-- LSU's wide receiver combo is as good as it gets, different style from Texas A&M unit. Very smart and quick.
-- It's about disguising the pressures on third down against LSU since it is so efficient in that category.
-- The run-pass balance from LSU was effective. They move it effective running and passing. If you're forced into eight-man fronts, they have the receivers to hit the big throw.
Mile's press conference:
Miles on #LSU receivers vs. Bama corners: "We like the matchup."
Says J.C. Copeland will be back at practice Monday and could've played vs. Furman
Our quarterback has to play well. We have to have balance.
PK Colby Delahoussaye and LB Tahj Jones should be ready to play Saturday
Les Miles: Asked to assess Nick Saban as the best coach in the country. Says there is an argument for it.

He also expressed relief that the focus has shifted more back to players and teams rather than just the fact that he was once their coach

This is going to be critical.

This is big time news. He was missed against Ole Miss.

He's only allowed to shower this week with security on hand.

Yep. One thing I have noticed about the game last year is that LSU was using a lot of quick counts. If BDS gets really loud we can take that away. That was a major deal last year, we couldn't disguise anything when they get to the line and snap it fast, gotta have time.

This. Much more than ever discussed.

Well yeah because you have basically another OL in the back field and blocking on passing situations.

Typical Miles response

What was the context of this comment?
Anyone on the Bama side remember his recruitment or why he didn't go to Bama?

I'm sure Hill probably wanted to go to Bama, but once he got busted realized the only way to stay out of the pokie was to make the locals happy.

Lulz, Aggie WRs are dumb and slow.

Hear that, Aggies? That inherently means Nick Saban thinks your offense is NOT smart and quick.

From an LSU fans perspective, there seemed to be a lot of smoke for a while that he wanted to go to Bama. If I remember correctly, he committed early to LSU with La'el and then Hill decommitted later. At that point, of course all of the Bama smoke began.

I thought the smoke was about Auburn, not Bama.

Typical Miles response Either way, Nickie isn't untouchable.
You don't say. Maybe one day a coach will come a long that actually never loses a game in their entire career. I mean it could happen. For now Bama fans will just settle for the next best thing.

Did either coach provide pictures? You know, for the majority of each fan base.

It was Auburn. Bama didn't come into the equation until after Hill's legal situation was wrapped up.

Yeah it really is sad what haters have to resort to. When you've won 3 out of 4 national titles and are going for 4 out of 5 people get desperate looking for negative things to say.
OMG Bama loses a game once in a blue moon, see, that's proof they aren't anything!!1
