Not quite the amount of blue chips as some of the other states in our number range, but it's nice to see the steady increase the last few years. Nashville area over taking Memphis is good news for us.

Louisiana with only 9 in the t250 doesn't seem right

Product of the LSU rivals page being pretty barren. LA is always underrated once you get past the top guys.

ftr, they don't have a Rivals250 yet for '15, but just a watch list that came out awhile back.

I think I'd rather have 9 in the top 250 and have the state basically locked down due to no other viable in state school competition than have 36 and have 6+ BCS state schools to compete with not to mention the other big time schools plucking out some of the best prospects every year.

Tennessee has metro Nashville area locked. Just check out the 2014 commits, ALL top recruits are going to Tennessee (if we close out Josh Malone soon)

Yeah that's why being an LSU fan sucks. Bama takes whoever they want

Sounds like A&M shouldn't have to take anyone outside the Top 250 since we are dominating the State of Texas now.

Ed Paris is from Louisiana originally and Brown lives about 20 miles from the LA border. A&M isn't out of it on Brown yet either.

That said A&M isn't going to get them all in Texas but according to that they could get 2/3rds and not have to leave the State. Right now A&M is getting the lion's share and that trend is only increasing.

A&M has a lot more competition for Texas kids than LSU has with LA kids.

But, and this is the important point that lots of people are missing, is that A&M is great shape for the kids from the West (California and Arizona mainly) who want to play in the little NFL. A&M is a little closer for those kids, and requires a little less of a culture change.
