Consequences of MU Sinking Vandy's Battleship

Does the imminent domination of Vanderbilt by the Tigers of Mizzou pose a threat to Vandy being the darling stepchild of SEC fans?
Vandy doesn't represent a state. They're the little guy, independent of predisposed hatred. They're easy for SEC fans to root for because there isn't any harm in it. They've been the rising darling of the SEC for a couple years, is that over when they go to 3-3 by way of knockout from Mizzou?
Before you dismiss the inevitable, take a look at the facts. MU was a disaster last year with injuries, lost qb in first quarter, still outplayed Vandy (by the numbers) and lost on account of a dumb penalty late in the game. Therefore, if you apply any logic, you'll realize that MU should win this game by a wide margin considering the Tigers are far healthier and better this year than last.

How low does a program go to try and talk smack with Vandy?

It's funny that you think there's anything thread worthy about beating Vanderbilt.

Where was that game played last year? What about this year?

Neither does Auburn, how dare you insinuate they're the little guy!

Realism isn't smack talk. It's an honest question. SEC fans love Vandy, is that over when the hated yankees destroy them?

Here's the problem...
Vandy still has James Franklin. Advantage: Vanderbilt
Missouri still has James Franklin: Advantage, Vanderbilt.

Pretty much sums it up.

Does MU represent an SEC state?

I'm sorry you're one of the 'little brothers' in the SEC. Ole Miss is your daddy.

Where did I say they don't win games? That wasn't at all in the quote you quoted.

Clearly, I'm saying they're easy for SEC fans to root for because they don't represent a state, they're independent of predisposed hatred. Time for a little refresher course in reading comprehension, my friend.

Stop Trolling. You are making the rest of us look like spoiled children with ADD.

quote:What? No one hates on Vandy because they historically are the SEC's cellar dweller and it's easy to root for the underdog, especially when they are playing a team you dislike and it's funny when someone loses to Vandy. It isn't because they don't 'represent a state'.

Trolling is illegal at Bushwood, sir. And I never troll.

It has a ton to do with it..
Vandy has a darling, cinderella type of aura to them. Yes, being bad for so long and now winning a bit has a lot to do with that, but being independent of state hatred is also a huge factor.

Well this is certainly odd...

Or maybe it's because Vandy embraced the suck for years and worked their way to some success instead of starting trash talk threads about the inferior opponents they beat every now and then. Vandy has earned their spot as an SEC doormat and are trying to overcome it. You started out as a doormat and think you're not.
