They said Mississippi State fans were too poor to travel to Omaha from Mississippi.

I was on the SEC Rant and saw the comments but does anyone have the actual words by Orel or Mike Patrick that they said. I can't see Kyle Peterson saying this.

The only thing I heard them say about LSU was something in reference to the tailgate atmosphere at the Box regarding the food that we cook. The announcer mentioned that "he doesn't like his food to look at him before eating it."

From the link: [quote]"The coaches told us this morning a lot of people came here from Mississippi ... that can't afford the trip, but they came here to support their kids. They are so proud of them and everybody is waiting for this team to explode."[quote]

So what he said was that these kids parents can't afford the trip but still came. Which shows how much they care.

He didn't say MS is so poor that nobody can take vacations. People just looking at something to get mad about.

Funny how MSU fans couldn't get the money to travel until they reached the finals.

The only thing mentioned about LSU was during a comment about MSU fans cooking some good food (bbq), Peterson said its kinda like going to Baton Rouge, you may not know what it is but I guarantee you it will be good food.

Yeah I didn't see it live, only see the article....I would think the article would have the quote if another sentence about it was said.

This is what was said:

quote:

Patrick said at one point during the game, "The coaches told us this morning a lot of people came here from Mississippi ... that can't afford the trip, but they came here to support their kids. They are so proud of them and everybody is waiting for this team to explode."

Jesus Christ. There's nothing wrong with that. People are so damn sensitive and thanks to social media they can blast their indignation. So stupid.

he also mispoke one time and said LSU offense and meant UCLA offense. His mind must have been elsewhere. He never correced himself

Shouldn't they be mad at their coach since he was the one they were quoting in that statement?
