A thought on Auburn's woes this year

As bad and despondent as Auburn is this year, you need to remember this, other than Alabama, Auburn has a more recent National Championship than any other school in the SEC.
This should be more than enough reason to give Gene Chizik another couple of years to get things turned around.

I think mean Gene deserves a 5 year contract just to get things rolling again. He clearly coached that team to the championship, and a team effort it was.

Even Tommy Tubberville had a bad season, its more of a reflection of the program than the coaching staff.

And remember other than Auburn, LSU has a more recent SEC Championship that any other school.
