Wednesday, Arkansas head coach John L. Smith made the rounds and stole the show at SEC Media Days.
The Razorback head coach, who is on a 10-month contract after former head coach Bobby Petrino was fired this spring, explained the origin and meaning of his saying "get your piss hot."
"Who told you about that?" Smith exclaimed. "That was supposed to be a secret. 'Get your piss' hot means that it's time start revving it up. It's time to start getting after it. It's time to get that motor ready and get that emotion going."
The informant of the phrase was none other than Smith's own linebacker, Tenarius Wright, who discussed it in the Internet/radio room 20 minutes prior to the arrival of Smith into the room.
"'Get your piss hot' is something that John L. Smith says to get you ready to play," said Wright. "It's something he uses to motivate us and keep us fired up."
Arkansas running back Knile Davis told ESPN that there are 'Get Your Piss Hot' T-shirts.

Only an aggie would have to ask someone to explain that term when it’s used in an athletic context. I know to most Aggies the term “our bodies are ready” means the A & M yell leaders are lubricating their poop shoots getting ready to take it up the arse by some of their fans but in an athletic context it means something very different. Just you having to have it clarified is reason enough for you not to even be on a sports message board posting such an idiotic question.

From radio accounts, JLS was all over the place during his talk, as in rambling & carrying on & at one point, sitting on the podium. Their beat writer was on the radio later & said that "at least he wasn't as bad as he was at his initial PC". The beat writer sounded very very embarrassed.
