He’s put us in position to play our biggest SEC road game since LSU in 2014. If you look at his contract you’ll see that he’ll probably stay another year. After that , whatever. Stay. Go. He’s a grown man. Do what’s best for you and your family.

I heard Keith Carter posts here. I'm sure he will be joining us in this thread shortly.

we have to abandon the small school mentality that our fan base has had over the past few years. We are a big time school with big time players and a big time coach, and it's time we start acting like it.

The people that keep saying “we aren’t a national championship program” or “we can’t expect to be Bama or LSU” are the fricking problem with this god forsaken fanbase. If you truly believe either one of those things and don’t believe those are attainable, you can frick right off because you’re a mediocrity supporting piece of shite who thought Luke was doing a good job with what he had.

Fans that have that mentality are like rat poison and are the reason we have been shite since the 80s

Nailed it. If we can't compete for a title, why play the sport? Tired of seeing this mentality

Ehh. It's not all about national championships and it hasn't been for almost all of college football history. I choose not to worry about national championships. I'll be happy if we can just be consistently good, something we haven't done in 50 years.

Sir, we were shite LONG before the 80s.

I REALLY don't want to engage in a flame war - or any type of screaming contest - but since there's no doubt I'm included in your sweeping generalizations - I have to ask: Do you REALLY think "the problem" is that the fans don't BELIEVE enough? And that a reasonable look at the history of the OM football program doesn't support the logical conclusion that Ole Miss IS NOT a national championship program? Ok, then perhaps you can point to the last time the Rebels won a national championship? While you're at it, maybe you can specify the years OM won a CONFERENCE championship.

I already know the answers, so I pose this question again: Are you suggesting that if Ole Miss fans had more faith, or believed in the Rebels more, or weren't "mediocrity pieces of shite" that suddenly OM would start winning championships? Are you insinuating that YOU are part of the solution and those who simply acknowlege reality are the problem?

So, please, inform the "pieces of shite" among us what we need to do to empower the Ole Miss football team to start beating Alabama and Georgia. Clearly it'a all about confidence and belief. Any doubt or misgivings dooms the Rebels to failure. Educate us, please.

Negative attitudes have a huge impact on every level. I can say that because I have seen it first hand. Now Ole Miss beat Alabama not once, but twice, in the past 10 years. We can compete for the Conference and potentially the Natty with the right attitude. But if you except mediocrity you will be mediocre. I for one won’t except that and will kindly yell you to shove you negative attitude square up your mediocre fat arse. If that means we got to meet at a Sonic so be. I will buy you a Cherry Limeade once I am done just to show you I mean no offense.

Not trying to argue with my fellow fan. We've done both of these before though, so I don't see why we have to lower our expectations even though it's been a trend for decades.

We're 6 and 1. Let's focus on that. Check out his twitter; seems to love oxford/ole miss. Eventually though Kiffin will not be our coach so enjoy it while you can.

Having belief and demanding more is the first step to having a championship program. Settling and being happy with just bowl eligibility is fricking pathetic.

The reason that Alabama and LSU are where they are is because their fanbase demanded that they compete at a high level because they believed they deserved more.

So yeah. The moment assholes stop accepting mediocrity is the moment that we start competing on a national level.

Perfect example honestly. They got tired of the “Clemsoning” that happened every year and demanded more.

Even though the success hasn’t been there yet, A&M is doing the same thing.
