Well Lindsey /the step dad didn't speak to the NCAA prior to tunsils junior year... That's why it's being brought up now.

And whatever came up in that discussion... He was a butt hurt bitch who cried wolf, because his golden goose wasn't complying.

The NCAA needs to make a ruling either way.
And soon. Can't vacate an entire season because tunsil wasn't eligible.
He's gonna have to sit out at least Fresno.

But if he's not clear you can't just say frick it and play him against Bama.

The NCAA hates us and would try to prove a point and make an example out of us.
We need people on the inside of the administration/ rules committee like Alabama and Arkansas to gain favor.

We should still have some cash left from the last recruiting cycle to pay off the NCAA.

Our sports video dept didn't get a goddamned dime this year....

Either we better get a top-5 class this year or it better being all going towards stadium expansion...

There should be enough money for both.

This is a very weird situation. Does the staff believe that something will come to fruition in the next two weeks that will allow him to play against Bama? I just don't get why you sit him week 1 if they are going to play him week 3. Granted, I'm not as up to date as most of you are, anyone care to fill me in on the whole situation?

I know it's a hard concept for you to understand, but believe it or not, that's how 2 game suspensions work

"Free Tunsil" t-shirts go on sale at Rebel Rags. Call to order. $50 a piece, $30 to the "Free Tunsil" foundation.

I believe ESPN said that Freeze sat him for precautionary reasons. I didn't hear anything about a two game suspension or any proven allegations against him.

I'm fine with sitting him out the first two games just in case. I'd like for him to get some reps in before the Bama game but this way....our 1B guys get some good reps.

They're aren't calling it a "suspension" because they aren't going to drag LT through the mud and to win the press conference, but it's a self imposed 2 game suspension

That's what you do when you self report minor violations

Is this something they will announce anytime soon or will we find this out next Saturday an hour before kickoff?

I ran into a friend yesterday evening who is right in the middle of the dealings with the NCAA. We joked a little about how his life must suck, but I told him I didn't want to know any of the details (not that he would have spilled any beans anyway). FWIW, he was in a pretty chipper mood about things.
