[Dellenger] Sources provided details & audio to @YahooSports of the Ole Miss team meeting, including the intro of Pete Golding as the new coach to a celebratory eruption from players. AD Keith Carter told the team that offensive coaches are “going to be here” as Rebs “go on a playoff run.”

Sorry. There is absolutely 0 positive hiring him as our permanent head coach outside of solidifying the playoff berth.
Remember when people got hyped the we hired Mike McIntyre and Rich Rod saying “Oh man! Luke is being a CEO and doing a great job hiring!!”
This is the same thing. He is retaining the offensive staff for the playoff but I guarantee we see some of them leave after the playoff game. And woo fricking hoo. We keep Charlie Weis Jr! The biggest achilles heel we have had the last 3 years.

Pete Golding has called plays as a DC both here and at Alabama compared to just being an OLine coach at Ole Miss. I’m not crazy about the Golding hire but comparing it to Luke is asinine.

So you are willing to potentially sacrifice a spot in the playoffs or a home playoff game, and for mass player and staff departure before the playoffs, for Golding to carry that sweet interim tag and Keith to open a protracted search for a new coach that won’t even do any coaching until after the playoffs, anyway?

So we supposedly kept “the whole offensive staff” but LSU is now saying Kiffin is bringing Weis Jr, our WR coach and RB coach.
