Mississippi Football is fun again! Love both of our hires. I was worried Mississippi State was in a disaster situation and wouldn’t find anyone. Love Leach and Kiffin being in the state and can’t wait for some hard fought high scoring games with y’all

I agree I think both will have the ability to ruin some seasons in the next few years.

These next few years are lined up to be Mississippi football nirvana.

I'm glad Kiffin and Leach are buddies because I've been getting exhausted with the bullshite that's gone on the last decade or so.

2014 season with better coaches (more fun coaches). I hope we can both play good ball again like that season

I'm not ready to say Kiffin is better than Freeze just yet but Kiffin is for sure exciting and I think he can get it done if he stays around long enough

You're getting a lot of love in this thread from pals. Not sure why. We're arch rivals. I hope Leech will be the equivalent to Nutt at Ole Miss.

Yeah we are. I despise Ole Miss and most of their fans. Yall have some quality posters and I am excited about football in Mississippi after 2 years of Joe Mo and Matt Luke.

We have a lot of transplants at Ole Miss (not necessarily on this board) that think LSU is our biggest rival which is complete BS. OM gets a lot of Texas, Tennessee kids who think LSU is our biggest rival. F'n annoying.

I love watching the kids that grew up playing each other at rival high schools play each other at rival colleges. That is what makes the Egg Bowl so perfect.

Outside of egg bowl week and bull shitting with you idiots on here I always hope for all the schools in Mississippi to do well. It’s so important for the state and the people.

I’m pretty excited about Kiffin and the staff he’s putting together in Oxford.

Also, I’m torn because Leach is one of my favorite personalities in football and it’s weird seeing him ringing a cowbell. That being said, I’m glad there’s buzz around football in the state again.

Leach should have plenty of fat little girlfriends to blame in Starkville when times get hard.

I’m not one like others who say LSU is our rival right after MSU beats us.

However, going back a few decades and even this past decade, LSU is definitely a top rival of ours. It’s a series that is fairly close against one of the most successful programs in the country.

I hate LSU and for years OM was kicking MSUs arse so bad that it put even more weight on the LSU game.

I don’t want to get away from that, I love beating LSU, and most years I expect to beat MSU, even if it doesn’t happen

Maybe the hatred between the two schools can die down a little bit, now. I'm tired of MSU fans treating me like a real life enemy when I'm shopping at Lowes. It's a damn game. We can discuss football rationally.

Oh come on... I love poking the bear sometimes. I have friends who take this shite way too seriously. I texted some of them when Moorehead was fired. Nothing bad, mind you... just commenting on the lateness of the firing and their probable inability to hire a good coach.

You would have thought that I kicked their favorite sex sheep. The vitriol was palpable.

State’s marketing isn’t as egg bowl centric as it once was either.
