31-7...

31

to

7

I left that game at halftime with my game day date and I turn my tv on at my house to see us completely and utterly shite the bed.

I was at Boure with the same girl last week when they were having the coach talk show, I didn't even know that was a thing but as I heard him talking all I could think was we are gonna get our arse raped by Arkansas.

Then the game happens and I was actually excited for nearly a whole half, then the collapse. Gosh dang it this team sucks dick.

maybe she is bad luck or something, she is a Vol fan.

Why do people go to games and leave at halftime?

Gtfo

I mean, I can sort of see leaving at halftime because we're getting blown out or something, but we actually put in a solid first half performance and younleave? Because it's cold?

That's really fricking weak

It was cold? That's what the date and a jacket are for. All kidding aside, I'm not gonna jump on the young fella too mch, but we do have to do much better as fans (primarily our students) at staying at the games longer.

Matt Luke, Longo whoever is making the calls just don’t know how to manage
the game with a lead. When it our defense gets to the point that it can’t stop the opposing team, why not try an onside kick after a score ? They have no idea how to use
timeouts to give the defense a breather , no idea how to manage the clock.

I understand. Some Rebs go just to see future pro talent on the field: Little, AJ, DK. (Haynes??)

I want to see Ta'mau show more love to AJ.

Not sure I agree with this. It's more execution with the lead. We had three turnovers that were on the players.

Exactly. They were completely on the players. I do agree. The only one that might could have been avoided via the coaches was the ultra-costly exchange for a fumble. Why was Swinney in, instead of Wilkins?

Yeah. Hard to disagree with this one with the way things played out. Even with that said, you have to think they've practiced this so many times.

Why didn't Luke use the time outs earlier to
save some time ? What about the Cal game
where they passed on the FG at the end of the game ? Playing Patterson injured even though
Ta'amu was playing better ? That's on the coaches.

Exactly. I don't want to depend on a INT, fumble or missed FG.

Upon further review I'll say again, our defense sucks. There are other smaller reasons we are where we are, but everything else being equal, the root, the nucleus, the core, etc. etc., is that our defense sucks. Historically bad. Of Biblical proportions you might say. That's really what it all boils down.

I mean, when's the last time we had a fumble returned for a TD? Bama last year and of course we still lost because of our defense. When's the last time we had a pick six? I know it took us like six games this year just to get a defensive fumble recovery. And all that's in addition to not being able to do any of the basics like being able to even slow down the run and really and truly defend the pass.

You're now changing the original topic. You stated a specific instance of us playing with a lead against Arkansas.
