I mean, personally, my watching the game Saturday hinges on whether or not Plumlee plays. You're not jumping the gun. I can tell our fanbase is going to be torn right down the middle on this one.

I do have a bit of hope for a couple more wins with Plumlee playing. I think there's just greater potential since he fits RichRods system a bit better. He will make some mistakes for sure, but nothing any worse than we've seen already.

Corral hasn't thrown many ints but those bad passes he's had add up quickly. Seems like at least twice a game he will throw a bubble screen pass in the dirt.

Corral is a worse runner and isn’t anything above average as a passer. Play both against Bama if Corral can go. Play who does better against Vandy.

If I’m the coaching staff I’m playing both at the very least because JRP’s redshirt would mean nothing to me since I won’t be around long enough for that to matter

I love matty ice but I do think you have to give Plumlee an opportunity for significant game time this week in practice. I know that it was at the end of the game but JRP just looked miles better in terms of confidence. I think Matt can be a good quarterback for us, but at the moment he’s shaky and looks like maybe the pressure is getting to him and he’s trying too hard.

Should probably give Matt the start Saturday (if he’s not hurt) so JRP doesn’t get skull fricked by Bama in his first start. Let him come in on the second or third drive if we haven’t scored and give him the chance to win the job right then and there.

Plumlee will become the starter, Corral will transfer, and Plumlee will turn out to suck too... Just like when Shea Patterson was playing like garbage and Corral came in off the bench and looked good last season but turned out to not be that great.

I say play them both and see who does better against Bama. Or even if Corral has to sit out for Bama play them both when he’s back healthy and see what happens.

Yea true, I was thinking about when Patterson came off the bench vs Texas AM and looked amazing and then turned out terrible... and then Corral came of the bench last year and looked good then turned out bad

Like when Masoli replaced Nathan Stanley and proceeded to lose to Jacksonville State

It really wasn't his fault. That 2010 defense was awful. Houston Nutt later let him get pummeled by Tennessee 52-14 after getting a concussion then putting him back in.

Cal was in prevent D while 6/7 Plumlee passes were short or intermediate. That said, I want Plumlee to start just to give him a fair shake. Only fair after his start.

Starting Plumlee if Corral is healthy would be a complete overreaction and a emotional move. You could lose two QBs in one game. Corral because you simply would be saying he isn't good enough as a redshirt freshman event though the final quarter he was hitting people in the numbers and they were dropping passes.

Plumlee played in a game where there was absolutely no reason for Cal to be prepared for him. They probably didn't even know who he was. Tisdale was the guy most thought would go in. Plumlee also got to play when both of Cals nickel DBs were out injured. Why start and completely kill his confidence in a game we have zero chance of winning?

I’ve been saying everyone should’ve been excited about this guy since before the season began.

It’s almost like none of you have watched any of his film he’s a way better fit for Rich Rodriguez’s offense. He has always looked better than Matt corral. There has never been any doubt about that. I don’t know how I hate ceiling is but I know that he’s better than Matt , but now were in a bad situation because if we start him we may very well lose Corral.

So let me get this straight...

We're going to judge a completely new quarterback off of the career of Patterson, who quit our football team? We're just going to make the assumption that Plumlee would follow in his footsteps? What a joke.

He deserves to start. I'm tired of this Daddy Ball shite. It would be so Ole Miss to not give Plumlee the start after what we just saw him do.
