Ed Oliver just had to go to Houston
I have no idea why he'd go when their coach will be gone after next season

It is kinda sad we signed a 4 star tight end to come and play LB, that how bad we are at recruiting linebackers.

Could it be that the reporters for these pay sites just don't really have great connections with the coaches and then when they talk to the recruits the recruits just tell them what they want to hear to get them off their back?
That's what I always assumed was happening.

Me neither, everyone in Texas knows he is bolting once Strong is let go.

Seems like Paul Jones usually has good info and at least admits when he's wrong.

I have the same feelz with Erick Fowler

Tunsil wasn't telling UGA he was coming. This has nothing to do with Paul Jones or his sources. He did the exact same thing our writers did. This falls back on Simmons who was flat out lying to two of three staffs.

I don't get the animosity toward Drake. He told everyone way in advance where he was going.
I only get mad at a recruit when they mislead our staff and cause us to waste a scholly.

It's amazing how bent out of shape recruiting can make adults. I'm mad we lost Simmons, but props to that kid for going where he wants to go. Saban put the full court press on him which is tough not to be impressed with and he could have joined our class to give us a run at the top class in the nation, but he went with Miss State. They're losing coaches left and right, Dan wants out, and their recruiting is on par with Duke, but he chose that cause that's where he wants to be. He seems like a hard worker and I've never read anything bad about him so I hope he does well. Hope it's more a Chris Jones situation where he does well and ends up a high draft choice but regrets not coming to Ole Miss every time we kill them on the field.

I completely agree. Erick Fowler has been committed to LSU for a YEAR, and he flips on us at national signing day? SERIOUSLY? LSU's LB situation is very similar to Ole Miss'-we both need more desperately.
But yeah Davis is my favorite recruit in the class; insane athlete

I'm glad Donta Evans is an EE. He's not going to get the luxury of redshirting.

Poor Donnie. He was always out of his element.

Don't we have a Memphis LB transferring in? I think he is a grenada kid.
Avery?
Avery?

Do we have any good LB's in state for 2017?
Posted on 2/3/16 at 2:31 pm to Rebelfan1985
He has to sit out a year doesn't he?

Avery should be eligible in 2017, yup.
