Well, the report today was Patterson was running with the 1's and Bell was working with the 2's at center. Bell plays RG, so Patterson is playing RG.
Taylor is getting the reps at LG with the 1's in place of Aaron Morris who plays LG.
As I have stated before, Conyers will be the starting center and Taylor and Patterson will play the guard positions.
Bell and Morris will be the back ups. Bell is getting beat out and Aaron Morris isn't ready to go. He hasn't had enough time to recover from the knee surgery.
Usually takes 18-24 months to fully recover from knee surgery.
This is why I believe Wilkins will be better this season than last, he will be past the 24 month recovery period.
Pimpn' is hard.

@SpiritChuck: Matt Luke just said that right now Rod Taylor is number one at right guard and Robert Conyers is number one at center. Hmmmmm……
Not sure where you're getting your reports. Luke says otherwise

Ok, so you are telling me that a knee surgery takes 24 months to recover fully? Where did you go to PT school? My UMC education and every other research article more recent than 1967 will say you are full of shite. Aaron Morris is obviously never fully going to be healthy, but it's not because of one single knee surgery. Don't start making up rehab numbers just for the hell of it.

Morris is going to start at LG barring injury. Treadwell, String, and Cody will be starting WRs.

Speaking of injuries, let's hope Tee doesn't break anybody's face in practice again.

Anyone know how Curtis and Caldwell are looking at LB? I was expecting Caldwell to contribute some this year.

So you're telling me our starting OL looks like this:
LT: Tunsil
LG: Morris
C: Conyers
RG: Patterson
RT: Cooper
Is Taylor playing LG or is it Morris?
Either way, that's not a bad starting five.
I'm beginning to get a little more optimistic about our offensive line and running game this fall.

Long story short - there are a lot of moving pieces.
Patterson is playing with the 1's at LG right now as Aaron Morris hasn't gotten in on the team drills yet. When the season rolls around, Morris will most likely get the start LG and Patterson will work in.
Rod is with the 1's at RG.
Conyers is taking the majority of 1st team snaps at center. Still and Bell are rotating with the two's, and Still some with the one's.
Backup right tackle is a close battle between Christian Morris and Sean Rawlings. Conyers is getting some snaps there as well.
Bouldin and Sims have been getting 2nd team snaps at guard. Bell a little bit at guard, but mostly at center with Ben Still.
Howard and Givens will redshirt.

If Christian Morris and Sean Rawlings are in a close battle for the back up position at RT, why is Morris listed behind Tunsil at LT and Rawlings is listed behind Cooper at RT on the depth chart?
Is the consensus that Cooper is still the backup LT if Tunsil goes down? And Rawlings and Morris would fill in the right tackle?

I hope Rod Taylor can take Justin Bell's spot.

A. Morris
Conyers

Cooper
That's solid

For the same reason Cooper is the defacto 2nd LT, if Aaron Morris can't go Taylor moves to LG and Patterson will play RG.
Cooper is the 2nd best tackle and Rod Taylor is the second best guard and would play on the left side.

2 things I took from all of that. Most of our fumbles either graduated or transferred. We have 103 starts on the OL, they need to stop sucking.

Do you have any animated gifs I can work with? I'm not sure yet how to make good animated gifs from youtube clips.
I might be able to do something with that other clip you posted, of the smiling grizzly jack guy (what IS that clip from, I've always wanted to know. It looks like a beer commercial from the 1970's)
IN THE MEANTIME, enjoy the latest gif!

Awesome job once again .
I believe that gif of the grizzly bear man. Is from Jeremiah Johnson a movie from the 80s?
* it is from that movie watched it on turner classics when I was in middle school.
Also the movie was made in 1972 not 80s. Robert Redford was a badass in that movie
Jeremiah Johnson YouTube nod clip

Thanks for the info, I'll have to check that movie out now. I knew it was from the seventies because of that slow, zoom-in close up of the main character which is prevalent in the 70's era.
