Southern would advance because they beat us.

you’re forgetting Cohen is on the committee that decides who advances. No way that hillbilly frick doesn’t screw us if given the chance

Another good start today 2 bombs by Chatagnier and Bench. The difference is our pitching didn't implode in the first inning.

A Chatagnier HR... that's a rarity. Hopefully we can keep our pitching level

Watch us be up 7-0 or some shite then we can't get beyond the 5th inning because of weather. Game won't count and southern will advance. WAOM

I hope we consider starting Tyler Myers if it comes down to game 3 against Arizona. He's looked good his last 2 appearances while pitching 5+ innings.

He absolutely will. Haven’t been many better pitchers on our roster these past few weeks.

USM was a really good team. That is a 40 win ball club. I don't ever want to see them again. I don't even want to drive through Hattiesburg.

Great win. Let's get some rest and get after it in the desert.

I was looking over our roster today and when I read his name i realized I hadn’t seen him play in forever. Now this. Makes sense.

Don’t blame him. This lineup is basically staying the same next year** so if a guy is buried and we are bringing in some other options from HS I’d find a new home too.

**fingers crossed Graham and Elko come back

If Graham and Elko somehow come back our offense will be loaded. Would just need a few pitchers to step up to be a true contender.

Sorry for the double post. I saw this on a recent article about Arizona:

"Arizona leads all of Power 5 in hits, runs per game, batting average, on-base percentage, doubles and triples. The Wildcats, with a team batting average of .329, are second in college baseball in slugging percentage."

Is the rest of the PAC 12 any good outside of Oregon? They are the only PAC 12 team still standing, for what it's worth.

I read stuff like that and I think back to Tennessee Tech.

Everyone said their hitting numbers were because of inferior competition. Then they came in and our bats went ice cold and theirs were hot, if memory serves me correctly.

They also play in a MLB sized stadium so I would say they're pretty damn good at hitting even if it is lesser competition

Stanford is the #9 overall seed and is playing Texas Tech this weekend. UCLA is a top 25 level squad, but they got eliminated last weekend. Oregon State isn't bad either. PAC 12 is better than Big 10 this year and maybe even the ACC.
