Saw he immediately went into a brace and crutches. Watching live it looked like a pretty severe sprain at best, at worst an ACL/MCL. Shitty to see something like that happen to any player, but especially him in that situation. He had a realistic chance at a triple crown

Torn ACL. There is a slight chance he could hold off on surgery and attempt to play through the injury. I highly doubt that happens though.

Elko is a senior with draft potential. I don't see any reason for him to try and play unless he just really wants to.

Agreed. In this era of opting out, if he hung on and tried to gut it out to get in a few at bats he’d deserve a medal.

Anyone know why they delayed the start of the game tonight? So they could be sure and time first pitch with the arrival of the severe thunderstorms?

They were showing the highest chance of storms/rain to be between 6 and 8, but that looks to have changed now. Might not get the game in tonight.

Looks like we should wait until 11 pm and try and be done by 1 am. Anything before or after and we are screwed weather wise.

Mistakes were made. They should’ve waited till it was closer to start time to make any weather decisions. Weather here is never consistent. Softball played at 3 to get their game in today, they knew what was up

We deserve to lose today. Hoglund was bad today. Bullpen has been bad so far. We can't get a clutch hit with bases loaded.
