I dont want to get anyone excited but it seems we are going to close with some decent recruits according to rivals especially if we get Dean which they are saying 60% chance. Top to bottom a lot stronger than the 2013 class.

It's not a well liked opinion but Luke has done well this off-season. I mean if I'm him I'm literally offering Dean, his sister, his brother, his mother, his gf, hell his dog a full ride. What that one recruitment could do for Luke can't even be expressed. It gives him credibility and a face on defense to build around.

Our D sucks donkeys. Our recruiting commits are all on O. He's not doing that well. We will be worse in '19 and '20 than we were in '17 and '18 with respect to talent. He is bringing in a bunch of has-been coaches though. Someday we will realize its important to hire a good HC and start building from there.

He held on to Sam Williams who is the real deal. He fired McGriff. He handled the Longo situation the right way. Ended up EARNING money for the school. The class currently is about as deep as we've ever had. We just lack the elite talent in this class right now. He is in position to close on those.
He will fire Harris after signing day. He's made quality hires. In no way am I saying we back. I'm saying the guy has done well this off-season. He needs to finish.

He needs to hire someone not named Dan Werner, Noel Mazonne or any position coach at OC before I say he won the off-season

I can agree with that. I definitely ain't saying he won the off-season. I don't think we finish very well in recruiting and lose out on alot of guys from MS that could help next year. I'm not certain that is an indictment on Luke as much as it is a indictment on just where the program currently is after NCAA sanctions.
I just hate some of these guys are going out of state. You don't owe your home state anything but to me family is here. You finish your college career and it doesn't go the way you planned and now you gotta get a real job. I'd rather be the guy who came here when it wasn't popular say a Romaro Miller.

How do you guys feel about raydarious jones? That baw is going to be a stud, and LSU feels really confident, though I know the usual story with LSU feeling great until the night before with Mississippi recruits 
Dean seems to tell everyone very glowing things, but LSU isn’t remotely as optimistic as uga and Alabama. Then I see you guys feel fairly optimistic too
Eta: really hoping we get our hands dirty with Jaren Handy. I feel like he’s flippable with auburn being such a mess right now

I'm just going to assume no one is going to go to Ole Miss until they actually sign the paper, and even then, they still might not (See the kid that ended up faxing a LOI to several different schools including Ole Miss and ended up going elsewhere).
Was that 2014, 2015, or 2016?

That was Nutt in 2011 he went to A&M. Unless you were talking about the guy who sent an LOI to like 3 schools and went JUCO.
