Over the past few days I was able to knock out several new gifs (I'll probably not get much of a chance for the rest of the year!) I decided to do them all with a common theme.

This will be a prediction thread of how well our Rebs do this season, and each prediction will be assigned a "LANE TRAIN MONEY RAIN" gif. The more likely the win, the more likely the RAIN....... as shown in each gif. This is probably not going to seem accurate in any way, shape or form I just wanted to have fun with it.

So let's get started!

_______________________________________________________

LOUISVILLE - We will struggle a bit in the first half of the game, but
after the half Corral comes out and LIGHTS THEM UP. Defense surprisingly
shuts the Cardinals out in the second half. Ole Miss wins 34-17.

_______________________________________________________

AUSTIN PEAY - If we don't score more than 50 in this game, something
terrible has happened. Instead I see us scoring 70 points for the first time
since 2018. Second and third stringers get their reps in. Ole Miss wins 72-21.

_______________________________________________________

TULANE - Ole Miss wins big again, 52-33.

_______________________________________________________

ALABAMA - Strangely enough, Erik Evans at RollBamaRoll.com actually
has us winning this game. (Scroll down to comments section.)

Two, in the modern game expect shootouts It’s just the nature of the beast. And I trust Kiffin more in a track meet than I trust the present offensive coordinator at The University of Alabama. And I have every reason to, until shown otherwise.

Three, Alabama returns just 11% of it starting offensive production. I don’t care how well you have recruiter, that’s going to take half a season to gel, particularly on OL, where Alabama has a new coach and must find a rotation with 3 new starters. This ties into point number two above. Ole Miss is going to be in much better shape scheme-wise and returning starters than Alabama will when that game is played.

Four, and this is more speculation than anything, but surely the defense HAS to get better, right?!

WAOM laughs at you, Erik. Ole Miss loses 35-42.

ARKANSAS - Repeat after me. WE WILL NOT LOSE TO ARKANSAS THIS YEAR.
Say it again. WE WILL NOT LOSE TO ARKANSAS THIS YEAR. Matty Ice has been
thinking about this game all year long. He does not repeat the mishaps of last year, and
punches the razorbacks right in the teeth. Ole Miss wins 41-31.

_______________________________________________________

TENNESSEE - Several of the prediction sites I checked out have this game as a
toss-up. Oh, there will be a toss-up alright... as Matt Corral tosses up 4 touchdowns
with a final score of 48-27 over the Vols.

_______________________________________________________

LSU - CBS and ESPN both have us winning this game. Everyone else chalks
it up as a loss. We get LSU at home this year, but something feels off about
this game. There is just no chance they are as bad this year as they were last
season. This could be a very close game, but I fear we lose, something ridiculous like 35-37.

_______________________________________________________

AUBURN - Auburn is probably not going to be great, but after getting our teeth
kicked in by LSU the week prior, and playing at Jordan-Hare, we will lose 24-30.

_______________________________________________________

LIBERTY - Something, something, something about former Ole Miss head coach,
something, something, about a shootout basketball score, something, something
about our defense not being able to stop a dual threat QB. Ole Miss wins 48-37.

_______________________________________________________

TEXAS A&M - I think the Aggies will be the "Second-in-the-West" team this year.
Ole Miss loses 49-54.

_______________________________________________________

VANDERBILT - Everyone has us winning big in this one. Let's say 53-25.

_______________________________________________________

MS STATE - ESPN and Clarion Ledger were the only ones I could find
who think we lose this one. Everyone else says we win, and so do I. I think
this will be another one for the ages. 31-24.

FINAL RECORD: 8-4
A great improvement from last year's record, and a nice bowl game to go with it.

I would be very happy with a 8-4 season where all 4 losses are very competitive like in your predictions. Would give us good momentum recruiting wise and heading into year 3 under Lane

Let's just stop for a moment and acknowledge that we are lucky enough to live in the same century as Johnson City Reb.

Hahaha, always my pleasure, folks

I'd love to do some more this season if I can find the time.

Your stuff is always legendary, but I am hoping you are wrong about Auburn or LSU though. I feel like we are owed wins by each at this point

If we somehow make it through this season, only losing to Bama and A&M, I will create an entire series of gifs of Lane Kiffin destroying "WAOM."

But let's not get ahead of ourselves

Our chance to beat LSU was last year and Corral threw 5 int's so i'm counting that Bama and A&M as losses; good chance at 9-3 since we are just as likely to win one of those and drop another we should win. Losing to AU w/ a new coach and absolutely no momentum would be disappointing with this offense.
