The problem with people saying the committee will dock us if lane leaves is that there aren’t enough 2 loss teams to cost us 3 spots.
Even if byu beats ttu in the championship, Bama wins the sec, and Michigan wins the b1g, the committee would have to drop us behind an OU team that we beat, a 2 loss ND team with 0 top 20 wins, AND keep TTU ahead of us despite having the same regular season record and losing the conference championship.
Mike Slive would never let that happen and even Sankey has to realize how bad that is for business.
