Freeze didn't inherit a program that just got off a two year bowl ban.
No one is rah rahing for Luke. Whatever that means. I came out against the hire when it was announced. My reasons was not because he was polarizing but because I didn't think he was ready yet for a SEC gig. That said he hasn't done that bad. He's definitely mad mistakes. At this point however for me and most rational fans this isn't about Luke. This is about supporting the program we love while they are down!
The program has stabilized from the terrible state Freeze left it in. What type of fan punishes the players by not supporting because he doesn't like the coach?
Luke is well aware that winning is the only way to get the fair weather fans such as yourself back on board.

Luke inherited a vastly superior team than Freeze did. We had not been to a bowl in two years and I remember articles that thought it was going to take 2 to 3 years to even win an SEC game because the talent gap was that far away. Luke inherited a team that had a losing season but had played close and even pushed Bama to the wire.
Who cares about a bowl ban in the past? That did not affect the last class and doesn't affect this class either. You sell the future. Freeze did it. Coach O did it. Tuberville did it. Tuberville did it after a much worse probation than we just had. As for being a fair weather fan you just don't know what you're talkin about. I have suffered many many losing seasons. What makes this one different is that I saw a complete lack of common sense being made in this hire. Plain and simple Bjork fricked us. I voiced my concerns directly to him. He did not want to hear it. I along with many others who have supported the rebels through thick and thin over the years finally had enough. The Ole Miss leadership decided not to win so I decided to hang it up for a while.

Good. Glad fans like yourself have decided to leave. Now real fans can support the players through tough times regardless of who the coach is.

Recruiting seems to be picking up. That's good to see. I hope Luke can reel them in soon. Any 4* player that is being recruited by the SEC schools is a good get.

I've been kinda looking at Rich Rods offense and comparing it to Freeze's. I knew Rich Rod liked to run the ball but damn I didn't know it was like 80% of the time.

Just to further the conversation based on the title of the thread - No I wouldn't want Freeze back nor do I have to worry about it. He will be back for one afternoon here in about two years when he brings Liberty to town. That's enough for me. As for Luke, I support him 100%. Recruiting is going pretty well and he has good assistants. We should all hope it builds momentum and equates to wins. If it doesn't, he should be shown the door just like any other coach. He'd probably tell you the same.

I am a little worried Rich Rods offense is 10 years too old scheme wise. That being said the first time I thought Luke could do this was when he hired the new staff.

Interesting take when his Arizona team had a top 3 offense in their conference 5 out of the 6 years he was there, and they led the conference in scoring in his final year.

It’s not outdated if the personnel matches up.

In 2018, Ole Miss was 12th in the SEC in rushing yards. Now, I know we had a pass-first offense since we ran the sandlot scheme, but I would say that our team is not geared for a run-first offense. Our offensive line would have to learn how to open holes.
