Some kind of scandal with one of them. I always catch the radio at the wrong time and don't feel like searching for it.

A tea party blogger allegedly broke into the nursing home where Cochran's wife, who is in the final stages of Alzheimer's or dimensia or something, is and took a picture of her. He then went back and basically made a smear campaign ad against Cochran saying he's wasting time in Washington while his wife is dying.
They got that's dude on several charges and yesterday they arrested a couple more people in connection with him.
Mcdaniels has strongly condemned it but obviously part of the Cochran campaign is crying foul play bc there's a pic of Chris and the blogger together at some charity event or something.

If you're listening to supertalk you're only getting one side. They're very close to Thad and are doing whatever they can to get him back up there.
To add to UMrealists post apparently some of Thad's lawyers knew about the video and sat on all of it until now so they could get the maximum use out of it for campaign purposes. It's getting ugly on both sides.

Y'all didn't ask for my opinion..but I'm going to give it anyway.
Thad is an old bastard and needs to retire, I guess it would be nice if he took care of his wife as a result.
I don't believe in career politicians, I think when they reach a certain age they should hand the reigns over to someone else that's capable.
That being said. McDaniel is a personal injury lawyer, and in terms of dirtbag status in the lawyer world, personal injury lawyers are the scum of the earth.
So fuggg Both of them.
How do we always end up with such shitty choices in leadership?

Agreed. I also think we should have term limits.

Neither candidate is perfect, but I'll take my chances with McDaniel over Thad. Republican leadership in Washington has gone to shite and we need some new blood in there if we want anything to change. If he sucks we can vote him out next election cycle.

One of the few areas that our founding fathers messed up in.

Because the lot of politically active Mississippians are dumber than a heap of shite.

Our parties supply us with stupid assholes, and our voters demand them. It's embarrassing.
Mississippi hasn't had a decent politician in Washington since Trent Lott.

If you are Republican it is crucial that Thad get re-elected to control the senate. He would be given head of appropriations.
