We lost no one already committed to us, which is good, but we didn’t sign anyone else, most disappointingly anyone who’d been reported as a lean but had not otherwise committed. Our only “flip” was a 2* out of Pearl who otherwise was going to ULL, but he was the 6A player in MS

Ok, thanks for the update. Looks like, though, that Jenkins was the only one we thought we might get, yet when I Google him we were running like 4th place for him so that really doesn't make sense. I think we did really well all things considered. We just better appreciate the opportunity to get 6 wins the next couple of years and not really really expect a ton more only to be disappointed.

Apparently Jenkins and his cousin were only a package deal if they went aTm. Otherwise the cousin was FSU bound and Tank is probably a Sooner or maybe a Rebel. Still, frick Jimbo Fisher
ETA: We’ve taken JUCO RB Josh Johnson in the 11th hour, all but assuring we’ve lost Strong to Jimbo and aTm (247 reporting that we have in fact lost Strong). I’m happy and proud of the kids who committed, but it’s a kick in the nuts going 0-fer on NSD, even if the game has changed

Congrats guys. We had a coach who had Alabama and recruiting figured out but we fired him because he called a hooker for personal reasons.

Maybe that successful coach should’ve redacted the phone records he had the chance to redact instead of tying his own noose, not to mention the half decade long NCAA colonoscopy his hubris helped unleash on Ole Miss. Freeze fricked himself over. Ole Miss would be much better off if he hadn’t, but he didn’t do the things he needed to do to continue employment. However, what I can’t decide is whether it’d be the WAOMiest thing ever or a fun frick-it move to rehire him ASAP and treat it like a 2 season leave of absence. If we’re staring at 4-7 wins a season until we can find a decent hire/cheat better/figure out how to beat elite teams again, it’s gonna suck anyway. Hopefully Luke figures some shite out and NSD is fun again between now and 2020, because today obviously sucked, even if it was the culmination of a class that’s better than what we should’ve expected going into it. I think it’s disappointing because we were seemingly recruiting very competitively until we lost every actual competition on NSD

We finished 30th and ahead of four other SEC teams after NCAA camping out on campus and receiving the two year bowl ban. Something like 16 of our 21 signees are on defense.
Yes, we missed a few and it sucks but ultimately the staff did a bang u job in recruiting.

They great thing about Luke is while he may not be a good recruiter, he's one hell of a on the field head coach and an even better oline coach.

I'm disappointed in the finish. We literally won zero battles. But overall the staff did well considering.
