Would Simmons follow the coach that benched him?

I think Simmons to Florida is a bigger risk than Simmons to LSU.

Simmons had a completion % of 58.6 and had 4 tds to 5 ints this year. I was never upset at him losing his job to Chambliss. I would hope we could do better in the portal.

Simmons would be the appropriate heir to the Carson Beck throne.

There’s a lot of quality QB’s in the portal. I wouldn’t be as worried about it as I normally would. The one from North Texas and Cinci are definitely worth looking at, especially NT.

I do hope Chambliss gets approved and stays most of all

Genuine question, but how does it work with the request for his eligibility? If it comes back and is approved, can he transfer immediately? If we get the sense that he is going to try and transfer, should we not pull the request immediately to try and stop him from being able to play for LSU?

Would be a good rotational D-Line piece:

Stopping a player who’s been professional and respectful about things from doing what he wants to do, would be a very bad look. Maybe it doesn’t come to that.

I think absolutely not. There’s no reason to punish a kid moving from D2 to SEC to possible NFL for wanting to keep his offense consistent in his final season. Screwing him just isn’t right

I agree with you, and I don't bear Trinidad any ill will, but we would be helping LSU and Lane by extension which just feels wrong given everything that has transpired.

Fuuuuuuck him. Say we will let him transfer anywhere but LSU if he wants us to not withdraw the request

Frank Wilson. By most accounts appears to be decent scrape.

Keith Carter doing FAFO Keith Carter things. Hope he keeps it up.

yes yes indeed but it shouldn't just be LSU. It should be NO to anywhere especially LSU.- we need more ruthlessness up in here.

Yea if he is going jump in portal after we did work for waiver that is kinda bs. If LSU want him make them do the wavier stuff for him.

It doesn’t matter. You take care of your players while they’re your players.
